In the April 2024 issue of GunNews, we wrote this:

NRA Elections &Annual Meeting
The 2024 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits will take place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center on May 17-19, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. The Exhibit Hall is open all three days and will showcase over 14 acres of the latest guns and gear from the most popular companies in the Industry. From entertainment to special events, it’s all happening in Dallas! Make plans now to join fellow Second Amendment patriots for a freedom-filled weekend for the entire family!

The Elections.
If you’ve been an annual member for 5+ years or are a Life Member or above you are eligible to vote for the Board of Directors. Ballots must be received by April 28, 2024.

Here are a list of very strong reform-minded candidates for the NRA Board of Directors that we can recommend voting for. The fewer the positions you vote for in this “Bullet Voting” the more weight your votes carry.

Phil Journey
Rocky Marshall
Dennis Fusaro
Jeff Knox

Furthermore, while he’s not listed as a “reform” candidate, Jim Tomes is also running for the board. We would certainly recommend him as well based upon his proven track record on the leadership team at the Second Amendment Patriots in Southeast Indiana prior to winning a seat in the Indiana legislature. I’m confident Jim Tomes will stand alongside the reform guys, not the LaPierre cronies on their way out.

Lastly, vote YES on the bylaw proposal.

And some of the results are in…

Four of the reform-minded candidates for the NRA Board of Directors were elected.

  1. Let’s hope for positive reforms and much better accounting of funds and policies. Would be nice to have a nationally known spokesperson like the great Charelton Heston of 20 plus years ago, but I am thinking there are few like him left in the world today that will stand up for the Constitution as he did.
