State Rep. Bozo Bob Morgan (he’s the bald one pictured above) will headline a panel of would-be tyrants explaining why stripping you of your rights and recreating past tyrannies is a good thing at the Highland Park Public Library on Monday.  RSVP is demanded “to ensure they have plenty of space for everyone.”  By golly, let’s make it a rockin’ good time for Bozo Bob and his buddies.

RSVP at RSVPLakeCounty@gmail.com.

Do it today.

First, read our post (originally written by John Ross and updated) on “Words Have Meaning.

Helpful hints:

  1. Leave your camo and gun culture apparel at home, folks.  Ditto for your IGOLD tshirts.  Instead look like a sheep.  This is a good time to wear your Amnesty International t-shirt or cap.  Let it be a surprise when they discover you have a brain and can think for yourself.
  2. Refuse to call it “gun violence.”  That’s a made up term.  It’s by and large GANG VIOLENCE.  We don’t blame cars for the actions of drunk drivers, we prosecute drunk drivers.  If we don’t address the problem – gangs – then by and large we’re never going to solve this “issue.”
  3. Ask Bob why he doesn’t support the rule of law.  The Second Amendment is an individual right.  His new law is patently unconstitutional.  (Did he also cheer for those racist southern mayors and governors who stood in the way of school integration in the 1950s after the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision?)
  4. You really want to raise his blood pressure, note that Florida, under the leadership of Ron DeSantis, violent crime has fallen to 50-year lows.  Why can’t we have more freedom and less gun control in Illinois to achieve similar results instead of implementing more failed gun control.  Expect to see his skin start to sizzle at the mention of Ron DeSantis.
  5. Gun control disarms victims, not criminals.  Ask Bob why he wants to disarm crime victims of the means to defend their children and families.
  6. If you get a chance, note that “Armed blacks don’t get oppressed.”  And that “Armed gays don’t get bashed.”
  7. DO NOT REPEAT THE LABELS THEY FLOAT.  Every time they say “assault weapon”, you say “defense device” or “freedom stick” or “child-protection tool”.  Or America’s favorite rifle.
  8. Remind them:  “Gun control is classist, racist, and sexist.  We don’t support those things.”
  9. Tell them:  The liberal thing to do here would be to support liberty by opposing gun-laws and other government control schemes. We need to progress toward a future of freedom not a system that reenacts past tyrannies.

  10. Short, to-the-point assertions should always be countered with short, to-the-point responses.  Leftist: “Guns are dangerous.”  Pro-gun patriot: “Guns are tools.” or “Guns protect children.”
  11. “Why are leftists so anti-freedom?”
  12. “Gun control benefits the rich and hurts the poor.” “Gun control schemes are racist.”  “Gun control is racist.”  “I don’t support hate and intolerance.”
  13. “Gun laws are classist, racist, and sexist. Why are leftists such hateful control-freaks?”
  14. “We don’t want to manipulate anyone…  We want people to understand the truth so we will all be better, smarter citizens.”
  15. “What changes do I want to make to more fully take advantage of the ideals voiced in the Constitution and Bill of Rights?”
