Police tape at an armored car robbery. | Brian Jackson~Sun-Times

The Chicago Sun-Times reported on a young man attempting to rob a store in the Gresham neighborhood of Chicago (8100 block of South Racine for those keeping a tally) at just shy of 8pm on the day after the election.   His victim selection process left a lot to be desired and the clerk produced his own pistola and rapidly and promiscuously perforated the perp multiple times.

Modern medical technology managed to save the unsavory scumbag and he's currently in critical condition at Christ Medical Center.

Whereupon his release from the hospital, it's not beyond a possibility that he'll be released with an ankle bracelet on home confinement while he recovers.  He wouldn't be the first armed robbery suspect released from the local lockup with an ankle bracelet and a promise to be a good boy.
