New York’s too-smart-by-half governor Cuomo says there is no such thing as 7-round magazines.

This guy really can’t open his mouth without being wrong.

Ace of Spades quotes the governor from January as saying – smugly – “Common sense can win.  You can overpower the extremists with intelligence and with reason and with common sense.”

And today, Mr. Super-Intelligence says:

“There is no such thing as a seven-bullet magazine. That doesn’t exist. So you really have no practical option,” New York Governor Andrew Cuomo admitted yesterday at a news conference, explaining why his tough ban on ammunition magazines over seven rounds should be repealed.

The bill must be repealed if New Yorkers ever want to purchase an ammunition magazine for their firearm.

Cuomo explained yesterday, however, that the new law will only allow citizens to put seven bullets in the magazines, unless they are at a shooting range.

Ace opines:

It’s almost as if making the act of loading the eighth round into a ten round magazine a felony is pointless, absurd and arbitrary. If only people had told him that before he rushed through this knee-jerk bill designed to get back-pats in the liberal media. Anyone telling him that was probably an extremist, though.

We agree!

As if a Glory Killer intent on setting a new “high score” of carnage in a public massacre is going to stop at seven rounds per magazine, thanks to Cuomo’s unSAFE Act requirements.

After all, they’ve got to be thinking to themselves:  “I better not load that eighth round before I got kill a bunch of school kids today because that eighth round is a felony!”
