Jacob Blake resisted arrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin Sunday.  Mr. Blake had warrants for several crimes.   He ignored police commands, and walked back to his car after scuffling with police.

Some in the media like to claim he was “unarmed” at the time he was shot.

Really?

That looks a lot like one of these.

That would be a karambit, a very potent fighting knife.

And police have already indicated they found a knife in the vehicle on the driver’s side floorboard.  Funny how getting shot a few times causes you to drop your knife.

Is it any wonder people don’t trust so much of the mainstream news?  For good reason.

From FoxNews:

Jacob Blake had a knife on the floorboard of his car when he was shot by police, said the Wisconsin Department of Justice, which also has identified the officer who shot him as Rusten Sheskey.

The knife was recovered from the driver’s side of Blake’s SUV, the agency said. It did not say whether Blake was holding the knife when Sheskey, a seven-year veteran of the Kenosha Police Department, shot him Sunday evening.

Yes, the cop shot him seven times.  So what?  Mr. Blake’s aggressive behavior earned him every one of those shots.  And if he had continued to pose a grave threat of bodily injury to other innocent people, he probably would have gotten shot a few more times for good measure.

He resisted arrest likely because he was taught he didn’t have to listen to the police.  He had a habit of doing the same thing, including when arrested five years ago for threatening a bunch of people with a gun at a bar.  It’s a pretty safe bet that he didn’t have a concealed carry license that time either.  Oh wait, he didn’t.  He caught charges of illegal carry and carrying while intoxicated in that incident.  In addition to injuring a police officer.

Jacob Blake is no hero.  He never has been.  He got shot because he didn’t listen to simple, lawful commands issued by police.

And sadly, more deranged people are looking at this incident and telling their kids not to listen to the police because police are all bad.

I predict that won’t end well for these families.

Just as it didn’t for Jacob Blake, who gets to look forward to using handicapped parking spots when he gets out of prison after this latest series of criminal conduct.

  1. Haven’t seen anyone else on the inter webs point this out. But it appears that Blake may have in fact owned a karambit. You can see it in a photo of him in a tan vest (front view) – the ring grip typical of a karambit is secured inside the front of the vest. This photo was apparently shared by his girlfriend/fiancée with media:

Coincidence? Strange that no one has posted this anywhere that I can see.

  3. Get involved and find out. Since you are new here, try a GSL meeting and meet some of them. Look up some of the older articles from this site, there are articles of encounters with “bad guys”.

    1. Stories are stories, if you are not interested but ask about the personnel as a way of disparaging them, why are you even posting to this site “ME2”? Go find somewhere that you are “impressed by”, hope you are not another “Kenny-boy” out to disparage this site and those who put so much effort to maintain it and fight for our rights to defend ourselves.

“Keyboard commandos” who disparage other’s hard work are a “penny a million” on the internet, if that is you, “ME2”, go on over to “DummyUnderground”, they are (were) infested with those kind. (IF “DU” is still around, I visited one time and had to disinfect my monitor, keyboard and computer!)

  4. OR “ME2” COULD do his own research, but it appears his questions are his way of “pointing out” his doubt to the operation of Concealed Carry and Urban Rifle courses. There are so many licensed concealed carry instructors around, he (she?) can do the research and go where they want.

I took the CC class from GSL and thought it was thorough and very informative, I “re-qualified” for renewal somewhere else that seemed a might less “involved” and quick, but, I knew the GSL instructors long before CC was established in this state, and found them very professional.

I had previously taken the “Personal Protection in the Home” an NRA established class, so had 4hrs already established for the 8hr requirement when CC was established. GSL instructors are long-time NRA-qualified instructors, if that is a concern.

(cue the snide, ignorant, hateful, misinformed, disgusting statements from ‘ol “penderast-Kenny-boy” in 3, 2, 1…)

  5. I don’t think Blake is a good guy at all. He’s apparently a rapist, but 7 shots to the back at close range is 100% unacceptable. Why did they even let him walk to his car? He could have been subdued on the way there either by taser or a single shot to the leg. Shooting a person with their back turned is bad enough, but SEVEN times? The cop was also holding on to the guys tshirt while he did it. That was sick and bad police work. Blake should not be celebrated as a hero and honestly, I don’t think many see him as one. But he is a victim of horrific police brutality that got way out of hand. What happened to him is wrong on so many levels.
