Will the State of Illinois reach a 1% compliance rate with their beleaguered gun registration scheme? The Magic 8 Ball says it’s pretty much a sure bet at this point as ISP dropped their Week 11 numbers at noon today.
A grand total of 15,164 FOID holders have now registered one or more items – with an average of a little over three items per registrant. Meanwhile, over 2.4 MILLION FOID holders have declined to register a single item.
With the 7,021 new registrants, the ISP’s latest haul of gun owner data has to please them compared to previous weeks’ paltry response. Nevertheless, non-compliance still stands at 99.4%.
While surpassing that single percentage of compliance might stand as a psychological success of sorts for Gov. Pritzker and crew, it remains a very public and very humiliating political repudiation of Pritzker’s radical left politics by the little people.
