Saturday brought a host of March For Our Guns rallies across America. Headlined by the foul-mouthed attention whore David Hogg in Washington, the local rallies featured like-minded speakers telling the crowds how we should ban guns. And how we should stop the NRA TV from having a platform to exercise their First Amendment rights. And how the NRA and gun owners are evil.
Yes, good old David Hogg closed his speech with the Black Power salute. Or is it a modified Nazi salute?
Locally, in a number of cities in Illinois, gun owners turned out in the foul weather to show that we will not stand idly by as these Leftist radicals call for stripping us our our Constitutional rights. We counter-demonstrated on sidewalks next to busy streets, communicating our message to passersby and the mainstream media.
In BLOOMINGTON
While in Bloomington at least, the gun control advocates clustered in a big alcove where nobody could see them. Especially in the driving snow.
The police were present.
So too were some leftists not at all hesitant to get in our faces.
One male – in front of numerous minor children – harassed a group of 2A supporters with all manner of vulgar, profane and sexually graphic invective. Here he is in his glory:
Another delightful human being took great umbrage to my sign "ARMED GAYS DON'T GET BASHED!".
Not even ten feet from a police cruiser, she self-identified as a gay person and launched into a profanity-laced attack on me, my ancestors, my sexual orientation and what I had for lunch last week. "How dare you take our name in vane", referring to "GAYS".
"Huh?" I asked.
I noticed her dog took a dump while she spewed her first round of f-bombs at me. Her anger seemed to travel down the leash and caused the poor dog to lose bowel and bladder control. As the K9 finished his or her business and my new favorite best friend forever prepared to walk away without doing the socially responsible thing with her dog's waste, I suggested she clean up after her dog.
After looking around, she found a cup in the trash, picked up the feces and proceeded to look down into the cup and then at me. I stepped to the side to give the cops a good first-hand view of the action I thought about to happen, but then decency got the better of her and she discarded the cup full o' turds into the trash.
From there she followed me around like a bad habit for at least five minutes. I proudly raised my "ARMED GAYS DON'T GET BASHED" sign and held it high in the driving wind – and mugged for a few photos as this woman (she was no lady) must be a local icon in the gay mafia movement or something.
In the end, almost twenty pro-gun folks engaged hundreds, if not thousands of passersby, while the 200 or so anti-gun folks pretty much preached their message to themselves.

Let's face it, the left am dead people like that Hogg (who was probably ignored up until now), will not stop until they get their way. Beware, he is going to be molded into a liberal politician by Soros and Bloomberg. Their end goal…. full gun ban like Australia. Period.
So, again, will Patriots finally arm up and fight back this evil the only way you can? Or will we sit back, march in snow and just wait until it is finally too late to stop it?
On a side note:? Where is the National Reciprocity that has been carrot sticked in front of us? I know it is sitting in the Senate, passed the House. Funny, we can get new gun control laws signed but this one, not so much. I sit here disappointed, but not surprised.
Watching liberty and the American way die has been a very slow and painful process to experience. If we don't finally do what must be done, the only thing left for our children to do will be to replace the flowers on America's grave every 4th of July!

50 years ago people like David Hogg waved the little Red Book of Chairman Mao in our faces and claimed it was better to be Red than Dead. These Bolsheviks claimed that the USSR was too powerful and we were better off to surrender our Freedoms than resist.
During that period the NRA Capitulated, compromised and helped pass the 1968 GCA and the Illinois FOID.
Today all we see is a continuation of the same leftist propaganda. Turn in your guns and surrender. Guns are too dangerous and the views idea's and Opinions of the left is more important than our Freedoms.

Make sure to vote in the midterms. We can CRUSH them. There are more of US than there are of them…their numbers are dwindling while more and more people wake up everyday. I saw Millineal Millie interviewing Californians on Venice Beach the other day and they were actually awake. I NEVER thought I would see the day when there was one conservative in California much less nearly everyone she spoke with was surprisingly lucid and reasonable. This was stunning. The LEFT are in DEEP DoDo.
Thanks to the advise of folks at ISRA dinner I attended the closest rally in support of 2A in Oswego, IL vs. going to Downers Grove. My father in law and I were the first to show up from our side as those "marching from freedom" were gathering on the other side. We approached the officers parked across the street and asked them how/where they'd like us to exercise our 1st ammendment rights.
The officers directed us to our space across the street from the others and said if we had any issues to please come get them. Two others from Auroraland Sportsmens Club joined us as we smiled and waved at every car that passed. The best part of the day for all of us was the arrival of an Oswego high school senior on his skateboard. He drove past and noticed "his people", parked his car down the road and proceeded to carry on a reasoned, intelligent and fact based discussion with all of us "old people". I won't share more about him because he endures enough ridicule daily in school.
In total we had approximately 9 supporters (not including those advocating against abortion and pointing out the hypocrasy of the lefts support for killling nearly 1 million children a year) who had a postion across the street. One gentleman pulled up and gave all of us coffee and treats then thanked us for standing up for the Second. While none of us faced any verbal assuaults from those with different views it was noteworthy that the majority of those giving us the "middle finger" from cars were women and young girls.
Plenty of the cars honked, waved and gave us thumbs up. As the rally broke up it was heartening that one of the women from the other side crossed the street and thanked us for being respectful in our opposition and said she hoped all from their side behaved the same. We gave her the last coffee and had a short chat before parting ways. I'm already planning my trip to IGOLD.
Not much pro-gun participation in Champaign this afternoon, unfortunately. Everyone must have had their fill of standing out in the cold and blowing snow at an earlier rally. I understand completely. My teeth were chattering by the end of the Champaign event. The wife and I were in Bloomington this morning and had a good time. She sat out the Champaign event so it was just me with my sign until an enthusiastic young guy showed up about halfway through and joined me.
The dynamic sure changes when it's just one guy surrounded by opponents. There was some real, visceral aggression directed at me. Nothing physical, though I thought one guy was going to go there. Some of these folks are quite unstable with some real anger management issues, which is ironic since they preach peace and love. I killed 'em with kindness and it seemed to short circuit their outrage and just confuse them. Smiles, waves, and friendly hellos from someone they expect to be a foaming at the mouth, murderous lunatic really throws them for a loop. Lots of fun.
That being said, there was also a positive dynamic to me being there by myself. I was approached by and had some genuinely civilized and respectful converstations with seemingly reasonable folks from the other side, including one of the organizers. I'm sure I didn't change anyone's mind but I could tell that I was at least causing them to consider what I was saying.
I gave an interview to a newslady (WCIA, I think), so hopefully they'll treat me fair on the evening news if I make the cut. We shall see.
We need a big showing at igold. Wish ISRA was sponsoring buses.
Those of us in Charleston braved cold, high winds and heavy rains at times, but we had nearly 30 show up and joined the counter demonstration across the street from EIU…..the "special snowflakes" finally showed up, but stood on the corner of 4th and Lincoln about 200 yards from us …..about 100 maybe and not one of them had a US flag to display(pathetic)….after about ten minutes they dispersed back into their "sanctuary university" except two of them with signs took up a position directly across the street from us……one had a sign that read "more kids, less guns"…and the other sign…. "ban assult rifles"……other than the brutal weather it was pretty much uneventful….we were nice and waved to passing motorists ……. we did get our message out as there was alot of traffic going by us.

Thanks for your attendance in spite of the cold & rain. I was very pleased about the many MANY audible responsed received after reading my "Honk For Gun Rights" sign. I too saw thumbs up and young females presenting a one-finger wave, to which I just smiled and waved back to them that with ALL 4 fingers and a thumb inside of my rain soaked glove.
I was initially confused about why their group did not move to in front of Old Main as their Order of Events had indicated, but reached the possible conclusion that their faculty leader either did not want them to make a _ _ es of themselves in public, so as to remain capable of claiming participation in a peaceful demonstration, OR……could she have been concerned that some of her compatriate sheep might become victims of us gun toting dudes across the street. I still wonder. They obviously avoid us.
I'm sure that at least ZERO of their crowd realize that they ARE sheep, and that WE are sheep dogs.

The only thing more miserable than the weather in Springfield today was the turnout by us Pro-Gunners, we had 20 at best. I hope the turnout for IGOLD is better attended. IGOLD attendence has really dropped off every year with the passing of Concelled Carry. It is time for us who believe in the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment to get our heads out of our asses and our feet on the ground, to support our rights, before the the women in "Pussy Hats", that were representing the anti-gun group across the street, succeed in dis-arming us law abiding citizens.

My family and I went to the Bloomington rally this weekend. It was our 3rd rally this month and the 1st time we had any issues. What issue? Well, an anti-gun "person" threatened to pull out his privates and show them to us, (when my husband was out of earshot). I told him to watch his mouth. He's the guy in the picture John posted. He looks like a real idiot and sounded even stupider. You're smarter than some white trash piece of garbage, right? How about you sound like it. I'm going to tell you what I told him. Watch your mouth.
If you can't keep it clean, maybe you should just keep your mouth shut.
Stacey, sorry you were offended by my comment but a lot of the anti-gun women across the street were "right to life people". They were wearing a pink knit hat on their heads and "THEY" call them "Pussy Hats". Many were grabbing their crotch chanting "My body, My choice" if these women had called their hats by a different name I would have called the hats by that name. I was trying to be accurate in explaining what we were dealing with. A group of people that would make fools of themselves to push their point.
If my wife was to ever wear a hat like that, I would rip it off her head and burn it.
Mrs. Sweeney, everything Chuck said was reasonable and accurate. They made the hats and they named the hats. There’s no need to direct personal attacks at folks on our same side.
I was much disheartened that I was unable to get to the Champaign counter-protest, being in a handicap cart the snow stopped me, I was prepared to go fairly early when the snow was only about 2" deep, but as the time neared 2:00 the snow was about 4" and snowing heavy. The wet deep snow caused me to be unnable to even get to my van without almost getting stuck a few times and considered that the way it was snowing, I wouldn't be able to "march" when getting to the park without being stuck and maybe being stuck outside when I got back home. My heart was wiith the gun-rights supporters and had made another sign that morning hoping to display it but will be there as I am able to next time.

The public actually believes the news media's propaganda that these are spontaneous popular demonstrations. We need to use every opportunity to educate them about the back-side of this "movement". Lots of big dollars being funneled into this, and again the question… WHY? What's being planned for the near future that merits this kind of spending and organizational work?
We all know that the pro Second Amendment crowd is truly grassroots, self-funded, and people that work for aliving. I hope someone can dig into the finances and publicize the organizational work of the other side and look deper than the misguided kids screaming their profanity in the streets.
"Lemme see"….It has been mentioned that Michael Bloomberg spent $6 million on Illinois alone this past weekend…… seeing how the possibility of a JB Pritzger governorship in November will make Illinois an easy target to get his gun ban agenda passed ….considering all the current bills heading to Gov. Rauners desk in the very near future….. just think of Michael Madigan's puppet signing ALL those bills into law next year at this time or sooner….it will make Illinois by far the most socialist state in the nation….I reckon it may be time to start making plans to leave this state as I don't want to be made into a felon on property that I bought legally….a citizen should be secure in their person and property and not be deprived of those things without due process….fourth amendment in a nutshell I do believe……like thousands of others I will become a political refugee fleeing a socialist regime in seach of greener pastures
