Ringing in the Muslim holy day, a 30-year-old Muslim in Philadelphia tried to murder a cop. Edward Archer gave a full confession, saying he was conducting jihad against the police because they uphold laws that are contrary to Islam.
Of course, the Democrats in Philadephia are wringing their hands.
[Democrat] District Attorney Seth Williams says “I’m very thankful the officer is alive. This shows us the need for smarter laws when it relates to guns on the street. My office is going to do all that we can to ensure the defendant is held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
Yeah, we need smarter gun laws. Just like the “Smart Diplomacy” that the Democrat Barack Obama has given us.
The just-inaugurated Democrat Mayor of Philadelphia had this to say:
This was the first police-involved shooting for the administration of Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, who was inaugurated four days ago.
Kenney said today of the shooting, “It’s terrible and it does not represent the religion [Islam] in any way shape or form or any of its teachings.”
Oh really? Are we reading from the same book, Mayor?
“This is a criminal with a stolen gun who tried to kill one of our officers,” Kenney said. “Has nothing to do with being a Muslim or following the Islamic faith.”
That’s not what Mr. Archer said of his sudden jihadi syndrome.
