California’s Barbara Boxer, one of two virulently anti-gun U.S. Senators from California, has announced she will not be running for re-election in 2016.

Could it be she senses America’s shifting political landscape and doesn’t want to bother with a bruising race for re-election?  She is, after all, the Senator the rocket scientist who berated an Army General for calling her “ma’am” – a sign of respect from the military man to the civilian Boxer.

From the Washington Times:  “Do me a favor, can you say ‘senator’ instead of ‘ma’am’?” Mrs. Boxer pointedly asked the general. “It’s just a thing. I worked so hard to get that title, so I’d appreciate it. Thank you.”

Yes, ma’am.

It doesn’t matter to us if Boxer is chickening out on another re-election race.  All we know is that she won’t be missed and gun owners have an opening to replace her with someone a great deal more moderate on guns.

Who knows, though.  Democrats might actually nominate disgraced state senator Leland Yee to replace Boxer.

  1. and the Government will have guns or do we throw the Government into the criminal category.

  2. Can you imagine waking up to that in the morning? Not a sight for weak hearts.
She obviously does not go to the same plastic surgeon as Stretch Pelosi.
Now if only Frankenfeinstein will join her. That fossil is 81.

  3. Good riddance to an extreme left liberal (communist sympathizer??)that infested an office in Washington, DC polluting the political, social, and financial landscape of America.

  4. From what little I know about her district, we’ll probably get a replacement Senator that’s just as bad.

  5. The liberal democrat and her husband company has the exclusive for all those foreclosure mortgages that are now entitlements. 100s and 100s and 100s of millions of your tax dollars.
