More Friendly Fire From The Open Carry Movement

(Julie on Politics) –Open carriers have struck again, handing another victory to gun control activists and opponents of the Second Amendment. Thanks to the shenanigans of these idiots, Target has now joined Starbucks and Chipotle in asking customers not to bring guns to its stores.
Open carry activists have officially accomplished the exact opposite of what they set out to do. Instead of expanding gun rights, they’ve ensured that one of the biggest retail chains in the country is essentially a gun free zone.
As you might expect, the left wing media could not be happier. A quick Google search reveals that dozens of liberal publications have already jumped on this story, including Huffington Post, the New York Daily News and the Washington Post.
Tell me – how does being ridiculed in half of the country’s newspapers help the Second Amendment cause?
Peacocking around with scary black rifles is simply not going to help promote the Second Amendment. All it will do is scare away moderates and independents and drive them to side with our opponents.
These tactics are especially alienating to businesses, as the news from Target proves yet again. At the end of the day, companies like Target are going to protect their profits and side with the majority of their customers. You can’t really blame them for not wanting people with black rifles roaming the aisles and driving shoppers over to Wal-Mart.
The ruling is in: the “open carry” movement is a self-defeating failure.

Its probably a shirt making fun of barrack hussien. And I am a fan of open carry. Should be the law of the land in all 50 states. Ill never go into a target store again for anything not just because of the opposition to guns but because of the stolen credit/debit card data thing that happened a while back.
You should carry your AR15 to the store with you. After all, the store is the only store for 500 miles around, out in the the wilderness territory. such as the northern slope of Alaska ?…….
Might as well boycott Target for their promulgation of faggotry. ……… Or for their refusal to recognize CHRIST’S birth as the “holiday” that their seasonal sales flyers proclaim.

I really hope you’re just trolling, but ignorance like the comment you made makes us look no better than the over-zealous, low information gun grabbers. This has nothing to do with religion or what goes on behind closed doors – this is about our rights as American citizens.
This isn’t about Target. This isn’t about some 2nd amendment utopia that “should” be. This is about open carry asshats having a consistent track record of failure, refusing to recognize reality, and then doubling down on stupid.
