He’s got a stable of them working for him in one way or another.
His best girl? Is it Shannon Watts <aka Shannon Troughton, President and owner of of VoxPop Public Relations, a boutique liberal PR firm>? Nope.
Bloomberg’s best would have to be Illinois Congresswoman Robin Kelly, hands down.
Michael Bloomberg couldn’t allow a pro-gun replacement in the form of Debbie Halvorson to win the special election for Illinois’ Second Congressional seat.
The “Second” was Jesse Jackson Junior’s seat, and it’s filled with low-information voters. So many, in fact, that they re-elected Jackson even after his conviction for corruption.
“Junior” as they call him, was sentenced to prison, and he was forced to resign his seat.
“Junior” was a reliable anti-gun vote in Congress, despite having plenty of guns himself including a semi-auto “Uzi”-style pistol bought when he lived in Champaign, IL many years ago. Yes, it’s true. I’ve seen the 4473 with my own eyes, folks. Jesse Jackson Junior liked guns.
Bloomberg, in the midst of of the post-Newtown spree hysteria, was desperate not to lose yet another seat to a pro-gun Congresscritter.
So he bought the seat for little Miss Kelly, spending $2.2 million dollars to ensure she won the primary.
What did he get for his money?
He got himself a working girl – a girl working to advance his pet project: gun control. …in the halls of Congress.
She’s just released the “Kelly Report” which is nothing but repackaged half-truths and utter falsehoods promoted by gun control zealots for the last fifty years. Most of them have been debunked, or tried and failed, but that doesn’t stop Robin Kelly from bringing them back in her “report”. As Adolph Hitlers’ Propaganda Minister is rumored to have said, “If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth.”
Her other latest public relations stunt?
She announced her plans to disrespect the victims of gun violence by not standing to honor them in a moment of silence on the U.S. House floor.
It’s true.
Why won’t she honor the victims of gun violence?
Because it is more politically expedient for her not to do so.
