Bob Owens at Bearing Arms has a good piece on New Jersey’s Democrats striking a deal amongst themselves on gun control.  Barack Hussein Obama would call it a fair and reasonable deal.

They have agreed to lower the state’s magazine capacity limit from fifteen rounds to ten.  In “exchange”, in their divine benevolence they are going to allow “reasonable deviations” in the routes of law-abiding shooters transporting firearms to hunt or to a shooting range.

With this generous proposal, gun owners will be able to stop for gas or to take a leak, or perhaps pick up a friend en route to use their guns.

Bob says this of the proposal:

The anti-gunner Democrats are infringing upon the rights of law-abiding New Jersey citizens yet again, reducing the capacity of magazines “in common use” to 1/2 to 1/3 of their standard level.  They then have the gall to suggest that we poor serfs should kiss their rings for allowing us to stop for gas, or to use the restroom, without facing the wrath of a corrupt and overbearing state as we seek to exercise an unalienable right?

Do they have any concept at all of how alien their legislative tyranny is to the concept of liberty?

You’ll note that one of the supporters of this measure, Bryan Miller, is the same citizen control zealot who shrieked that any citizen who wanted a standard capacity 15-round magazine is either a gangster or a domestic terrorist.

  1. …and yet some people want to nominate the governor of that mess for President. Maybe if Christie were President, people in every state would be allowed to stop to take a leak on the way to the range. Are you excited yet?
