I have been watching the unfolding travesty in Kabul this week with great interest, and fear for the lives of literally thousands of American trapped behind enemy lines. Will this be the largest hostage drama in history? When will the Taliban lose control of their men in the street and large scale slaughters ensue? Why can the Brits, French and Germans launch convoys into town to rescue their citizens and the U.S. can’t? Dramatic stuff.

Like most of you, I want to see news about what is really happening on the ground. Facebook Commandos are filling pages with “reports” and funny memes, and then I saw one that said “Watch what will be going on in D.C. while we are all focused on Afghanistan-a good magician always uses a distraction to hide things from his audience.”

Well, on Friday, August 20, 2021, the State Department announced new sanctions against Russia, effective immediately, which include the ban on all new or pending shipments of firearms and ammunition from Russia.

This declaration is wrapped inside a much larger feces burrito claiming the move is a sanction against Russia for allegedly poisoning Aleksey Navalny in 2020 (he survived) and hangs another part of this sanction on the Chemical and Biological Weapons Control and Warfare Elimination Act of 1991.

It is gun control. Plain and simple. Clinton Era/Biden written gun control-without running anything through Congress or having to pass an actual law.

It doesn’t harm the Russian government, it just prevents law abiding American citizens from getting guns and ammunition at a time when both are in never before seen short supply and outrageous prices. Now the State Department proclamation also has some effect on sales of nukes and missiles-but those have always been difficult to buy in the American market!

With the current ammo shortages and enormous demand, Russian imported ammo was generally still on the shelf, and was the cheapest rifle ammo available in 2020-2021. Well Washington is putting a stop to that.

If you have always wanted an AK-47, AK-74, SKS etc you now have about 20 minutes to get one purchased before the already inflated prices go through the roof. Oh, and available Russian imported ammo? You have about 10 minutes to get some before it is all sold or sold only at exorbitant prices.

  1. I read a comment from a small manufacturer that claimed Russian ammo amounts to 40% of Current U.S. sales/supply.

If this number is true, then this is paramount to an ammo/gun ban; since a gun without ammo is a club.

I had heard some people were buying AR uppers in 7.62 x 39 and new magazines just to take advantage of the cheaper Russian ammo.

Some sellers are already asking 90 cents a round for 7.62 x 39 Tula ammo and that is “IF” you can find it.

The Leftist never give up and neither should we!

    1. I saw the same post. 40% is an enormous amount of U.S. ammo sales. Since posting the warning yesterday, I have also seen six other similar warnings stating retailers seen the bad news and have already jacked the prices for Russian import ammo in the last 24 hrs. This is how bad news is always put out in D.C.- they release the news late on a Friday, generally on a holiday weekend, hoping people are too busy to see the news over the weekend.

  2. It is a crying shame that members of this administration’s fear of an armed resistance is not based upon facts but rather their fear of what might be.(as this defacto admission of what is and is not deserved is based only upon fear-Why do they so fear an armed citizenry and yet lack the courage to apprehend the inner-city thugs who actually misuse these items? Could it be they are afraid of alienating their own constant base? And after all whitey is faqir game now right?
