HISTORIC! Democrat Colorado Senate President concedes!

September 10, 2013

(The Truth About Guns) – Colorado Senate President John Morse paid the ultimate political price today for his dedicated Second Amendment abrogating advocacy. Despite millions of dollars poured into the state by Michael Bloomberg and the rest of the Civilian Disarmament Industrial Complex (NPR reports pro-recall forces were outspent 7 to 1), Morse has become the first Colorado state senator to be recalled. Morse officially conceded around 10:30 PM CST, and while the results were extremely close at the time (8,777 to 8,414 with 93% reporting) the writing was on the wall. Morse had been gloating earlier on Twitter about writing his speech for the night, but I get the feeling that the one he’s delivering to his supporters right now isn’t the one he was hoping for. This represents a massive victory for the pro-gun movement, overcoming the astounding volume of cash that the Democratic party poured into the state in order to prove that the representatives of the people are, in fact, responsible for representing the views of their constituents. All that’s left to make this a slam-dunk night is for Giron to follow suit, with results expected by 11 PM and the polls are currently showing 56% in favor of kicking her to the curb.

Now Denver Post is reporting it.

Sen. John Morse concedes in Colorado recall election in state first

COLORADO SPRINGS (Denver Post) — Colorado Sen. John Morse delivered his concession speech in Colorado Springs on Tuesday night, ending a historic recall election saw the one-time state Senate president lose his seat just months after leading the effort to enact stricter state gun laws.

With about 86 percent of returns counted in the historic recall election of Democratic Senate President John Morse show 52 percent have voted “yes” and 48 percent “no.”

The new results as of 9 p.m. are not good for Morse as about 2,500 votes still need to be counted — a margin that leaves him little room for error.

Bye bye, Bozo!

Who’s next?

If we can take out a Senate President, do you really think your seat is safe if you ignore gun owners and vote for strict gun control?
