CHICAGO ISN’T SAFE: ‘A disappointing milestone’

CHICAGO ISN’T SAFE: ‘A disappointing milestone’

Congratulations to politicians in Chicago who have worked hard to keep the population there as disarmed and defenseless as possible against the savage violent crimes plaguing that city. Gun ownership has proven benefits to those who choose to exercise their right to own firearms.  Guns are a proven equalizer against criminal attack. In Chicago,...

The good news is some media, mainly FoxNews and the alternative media, are reporting new details of the attack as they slowly leak out. The bad news is most of the mainstream...

Butler: Stop Obama’s legacy to future generations before it’s too late

by Jim Butler Sangamon County Rifle Association President The Obama administration’s Presidency has been an unmitigated disaster in terms of unemployment, profligate deficit spending and miserable GDP growth – to say nothing of his Supreme Court appointments. Ideologically, Obama has shown in both word and deed that he rejects America’s founding ideals.  America’s greatness,...

Hard as gun haters try, freedom won’t die

October 28, 2012

There are some anti-self-defense activists who feel so strongly about depriving Americans of their Second Amendment rights that they work to deprive these same Americans of their First Amendment rights as well. We’ve seen this in vandalism of our Guns Save Life highway signs along the Interstates. We put the kibosh on a...

How to make your wife hate guns…

Cornered Cat has a great, partially tongue-in-cheek piece on how to make your wife hate guns. Or, if you turn things around (or don’t do what is mentioned), how to make your wife love guns – or at least not dislike them. Excerpt: Never invite her to the range in the first place. You...

Broke Chicago spends $200k for something they also get for free

So, Chicago’s broke, but they spend $200,000 for “Shot Spotter” technology which uses microphones and computers to send police to the site of every car or truck that backfires, along with gunshots and big firecrackers. Of course, Chicago’s Police Chief is gushing over this new technology like it’s the greatest thing since sliced...
