An Obama-appointed judge struck down the federal prohibition on illegal aliens possessing firearms in America. This happened in the Northern District of Illinois in the case of US v. Carbajal-Flores.
It is an “as applied” decision, meaning it stands just for Mr. Carbajal-Flores. However if the decision is allowed to stand and then expanded to all illegals, then suddenly Katie bar the door towards hiring illegal invaders as police officers and servicemen and women. There will no longer be any federal prohibitions to them possessing firearms.

Why do I get the feeling that the judge here ruled this way because this was a favored class, and not from any respect for the 2A? What would she have done if this was an actual US citizen who failed to register their “naughty” guns under PICA?

GSL needs to do an article on the primary for the 105th statehouse seat between Dennis Tipsword and Don Reints. Tipsword (also a deputy sheriff) helped sponsor the bill that allowed “non-citizens” to arrest citizens (and enabling them to own firearms prohibited from most citizens). Back in the 2022 general election, I found it very odd that the Democrats let Tipsword run un-opposed. Now it makes sense.

Here is a young man who happens to be the son of former state senator Chuck Weaver, and he leaves a 6-figure job at Caterpillar to run for a public office that pays $85K.
