A Monmouth University poll from last month shows that a majority of Americans oppose banning black rifles and the magazines that feed them.  In fact, in just nine months, support for banning America’s favorite rifle, the AR-15 has dropped a whopping 9 points.

From Breitbart:

A poll conducted by Monmouth University finds that more Americans oppose an “assault weapons” ban than support implementing one.

The poll was conducted March 16-20, 2023, and fielded responses from 805 adults age 18 and older.

According to the poll, 46 percent of respondents support banning “assault weapons,” while 49 percent oppose it.

Support for the ban is down considerably from June 2022, when 55 percent of respondents were in favor.

Keep the faith, people.  Keep the faith and keep educating those around you about the proven benefits of firearm ownership.

And especially about the guns most effective for self-defense.

  1. Polling would only really matter if legislators gave a damn about following the wishes of the majority, or defending the Constitution. That ship has long sailed. Our only remaining hope is the judiciary, and it appears that even SCOTUS can be ignored these days. I hope I am proven wrong on this.

  2. Some time ago. We stopped being governed by a representative government. We are now ruled by tyranny. And as long as that’s the case. All laws and rules contrary to serving the law abiding citizens are repugnant. And in most cases to be challenged.
