SPRINGFIELD1-198577a

Liberty Guns & Ammo in Homer, IL, one of my favorite local gun shops, is hosting a "Sell-out Sell-off".  All Springfield and Rock River product are on sale at dealer cost.  While supplies last, as there will be no re-orders.  Also, Springfield's running a magazine special.  Four free mags.  It also comes with a holster, but the holster is at best a range-use holster, ill-suited to CCW unless you're a novice or operating on a shoe-string budget.

Here's your chance to get a first-rate pistol at a cut-rate price.

Any other gun shops doing the same, we'll print your announcements here at no charge, or put them in comments.

Sellouts

At Liberty Guns & Ammo in Homer IL we are having a "Sellout selloff" to get rid of our inventory of SA and RRA firearms at COST, I encourge people to stop by and use the deal SA has for the free magazines for these guns to cost them as much as we can in the process. I will NOT be ordering anything else from them to re-stock!

I've alse been trolling their FB page with this sale on as many of their posts from the NRA convention as I can in the comments section, I sincerely hope they contact me about this.

  1. You should donate them to your favorite cause.  Or not.  Not sure what they could do with them.  I don't imagine a whole lot of folks want to buy tickets on a Judas/Quisling pistol.

  2. Inventory that doesn't move is a retailer's nightmare.

Beating the rush to unload them at cost is smart. Nobody's going to pay anywhere near MSRP for brands with horrible resale value. Think about it:what will hold more % of purchase price? A Colt or something vs. a RRA? If the bill passes, they'll have the stigma of traitor guns. Maybe good as beaters or trunk guns. Nothing to be proud of or to hand down. Will also stick the big box places that pushed the bill overpriced inventory. Cabelas can keep their warehouse full of guns nobody will pay full price for. Burn em both.

  3. I for one wish Liberty Guns & Ammo thanks and support all the way from Florida.

I was at the NRA's Annual Meeting and spoke with the SA and RRA sales' reps in person. Neither could give me a straight answer. I udnerstand that the folks at the booth are just sales reps but there should have been an official word from the chain of command. It was nothing.

I own SA products and I use RRA at work as my patrol carbine. What SA and RRA did is inexcusable.

I'm running for the 2018 NRA Board of Directors and if I'm on the board. You can bet that I'd go after any Firearms Company that pulls a stunt liek this.

    1. Hey Lou, quick question. What's your stance on the disinviting of the USCCA? I'm pretty disappointed by the move, but do you support it/would support it if a board member?

    3. I feel that the way the NRA did it was improper and rude. The USCCA has been working with the NRA in the past and the fact is that a lot of the USCCA are members of the NRA. Lifetime Members and Endowment Memebers actually.

The fact that the NRA jumped into the insurance market and now views the USCCA as a business rival is disheartening. The NRA shouldn't be competeing as a business and funneling funds to do that. It should instead direct its enegries and resources at fighting the gun grabbers and expanding freedom.

Yes, the NRA needs sources of income to fund such operations but the NRA Guard is something that I think it shouldn't do in the way it is doing it. Instead it should have been added to part of the NRA membership. Become a Life Endowment or Patron member and have it as a way to say thanks to them. Still even charge for it but offer it to the members as a different way to say thanks. Doesn't even have to be Life Endowment or Patron members. I've been a member for 23 years and I still pay my membership dues every five years. They could offer it to normal members that have been a continuous member for 'X' number of years.

But back to the main point. The way the NRA did it was rude. It is their event and they can have who ever they want at their Annual meeting. But to disinvite USCCA in the manner they did in the short amount of time before the Annual Meeting was wrong.

If I were on the Board at the time. I would not have approved of the way it was done. The NRA needs to build an alliance. Not just go at it alone. The USCCA and NRA can be business rivals and still be political allies at the same time.

Sadly look at Springfield Armory and Rock River Arms. Both were business rivals and yet both were political allies when it came to screwing over fellow gun owners and businesses in Illinois via their donations to anti gun politicians and having their special lobbying group secure their carve out and exemption.

The NRA can be allies with other gun rights groups when it comes to fighting for and expanding the 2nd Amendment.
