Urgent action item:

Please cruise over to the Illinois General Assembly witness slip page here and file a slip in opposition to Senate Bill 3076.

Amendment #1 to the bill allows the locals Democrat machine political hacks access to law enforcement databases.

We’re not up for Toni Preckwinkle and friends to have access to those databases, including FOID holders and concealed carry licensees.   Nice try, Taxin’ Toni.

Fill out that witness slip in your name as an OPPONENT to this bill.

You can click here to see a roll call of who’s in favor and who’s opposed.  These are important.  Please submit a witness slip as an OPPONENT to this bill.

  1. Missed it! How much lead time can we get on these? We who don’t ride our browsers could use as much forewarning as possible.

  2. “Why are you so opposed to a gun owner’s database? It’s not like the government will abuse it.”

    Uh huh.

  3. Toni Preckwinkle, doing her best to turn Cook County into Illinois’ version of Wayne County, Michigan… so she and her Democrat machine friends can live the good life while everyone else toils on their plantation in squalor, crime and shackles.

  4. Silly question, and to preface, I agree that a database of gun owners does not belong in the hands of politicians. But doesn’t filling in a witness slip with your name, address, and other identifying information kind of defeat the purpose of opposing a database? I mean, the logical conclusion is that everyone opposed is a gun owner. Granted, there might not be a 100% correlation, but statistically speaking I’m going to assume a better than 90% chance that everyone that lists “self” under the “Representing” column is a gun owner. These witness slips thus become a voluntary database, right?

  5. Where the hell was the ISRA on this one? They’ve got, what? Four or five lobbyists now and not a single one could fill out a damn slip? Was Mike Rowe too busy pushing women and girls yesterday to take a moment to file an appearance against this bill? Was Valinda too busy baking cookies and being a good housewife to her manhandling husband to make a few clicks? And Pearson, the $90,000+ head honcho of ISRA? Too busy smiling and glad-handing yesterday? I thought they were the state’s premiere leaders for gun rights?

Some people are experts at lobbying. Others don’t know how to spell it, much less do it. It’s like the difference between Major League Football and PeeWee football.

    1. Go easy, Hank. We can’t all be everywhere at once. That’s the benefit of a bunch of us all working towards the same goals.

I confess that I chuckled at the cookie part.

  6. Hey guys this is just another reason why we DO NOT need the FOID card!

Have any of you read the articles claiming that wealthy people are leaving Chicago over fear of Crime and groups like BLM?

3000 millionaires have left Chicago in recent months. that amount of wealth leaving Chicago will Bankrupt the City.

If you don’t think wealthy people make a difference on government budgets. Please do a search for the article of the one man (billionaire) that left the state of New Jersey and forced the state to reexamine the states budget.

  7. I too was too late to get a slip in on this one.

I too was disappointed to see that the ISRA didn’t enter a position on this bill.

Thank goodness we are all working together… or are we?

  8. There is absolutely no need for Crook County to establish another police agency to police the population. This is a total waste of tax dollars and another attempt to put controls on Illinois residents. They already have sufficient agencies to do the job, they just need to work together.

At the same time, we can’t be attacking each other in public. We all need to work together to stop the anti’s from these attempts to violate our 2nd Amendment rights.

  9. I started thinking about this Bill after I left this site and I got a bad feeling.

The ISRA has a Bad habit of COMPROMISE and deal making by allowing some bills to pass so they can get supposedly something in the deal.

This is how we got the FOID card. The ISRA wrote their own law (FOID card)and backed it too supposedly stop a more draconian law. {I say the ISRA got suckered into supporting gun control)

This isn’t one of those times the ISRA is dealing making is it?

    1. Bill1: no need to worry about the ISRA cutting a deal.

The ISRA isn’t politically relevant in Springfield. Not in any sort of meaningful way.

  10. Does this Bill have a chance of passing? Talk about a Nanny state. Add the Bill this article is associated with and we have a nightmare for disaster. Already on Social Media people that try to support shutting down the border, Trump or simply telling the truth about Hillary are banned. What happens when these bills become Law?

Recently a Catholic Friar was seen wearing his Robe, people freaked out claiming he was with the KKK.

  11. This bill is out of committee and headed to the floor. ramp it up and call your state reps and Senators. Then send Preckwinkle a bouquet of roses with a frozen dog turd in it.
