Fresh off their perceived win less than a week ago forcing the Trump campaign to cancel a planned event in Chicago, the radical left is feeling their oats and making plans to continue to use violence, “civil disobedience” and bullying to deny Donald Trump opportunities to speak.
(Breitbart) – With little fanfare and almost no news media attention, some of the same radical groups involved in shutting down Donald Trump’s Chicago rally last week are plotting a mass civil disobedience movement to begin next month.
They intend to march across the East Coast in order to spark a “fire that transforms the political climate in America.”
The operation, calling itself Democracy Spring, is threatening “drama in Washington” with the “largest civil disobedience action of the century.” The radicals believe this will result in the arrest of thousands of their own activists.
“We will demand that Congress listen to the People and take immediate action to save our democracy. And we won’t leave until they do — or until they send thousands of us to jail,” the website for Democracy Spring declares, channeling rhetoric from the Occupy movement.
The group is backed by numerous organizations, including the George Soros-funded groups MoveOn.org, the Institute for Policy Studies, and Demos.
The pro-Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) MoveOn.org has been playing a prominent role in organizing anti-Trump activism, including last weekend’s shutdown of the billionaire’s rally at the University of Illinois at Chicago Pavilion.
Another group endorsing Democracy Spring is the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). The DSA’s Chicago branch drove protesters to last weekend’s nixed Chicago Trump event, as this reporter exposed.
Let’s jump into our wayback machine and travel back to another time in recent history when leftists thought they were going to “transform the political climate in America” through so-called “civil disobedience” against those they disagreed with.
Chicago hosted Democrat National Convention in 1968. That event became the most violent political gathering in modern history. The radical leftists threw temper tantrums like ill-behaved children when they didn’t get their way. Chicago Police, after enduring all manner of abuse from the surly protestors, finally got some payback with their hickory nightsticks. Old-timer cops referred to this as giving smelly protesters some “hickory shampoo”.
The leftists lost in 1968, and the next four years saw plenty more turmoil domestically from the radical left. The Democrats nominated the far left George McGovern and he lost in a landslide.
Everyday Americans identify with Republicans as the party of “law and order” at home and a strong defense abroad.
Today’s Black Lives Matter and the other fringe radicals taking part in the “Democracy Spring” plan to use violence to promote their agenda.
These radicals are utterly tone deaf and will drive people away from their party.
Average Americans don’t take kindly to violent “free speech” protests.
Nor do they like bullies
