There’s a special kind of stupid among some people. They think that you act like a irrational maniac, threatening to beat a cop’s brain housing group with a baseball bat, that you’re going to get a big hug and cuddles in return.
This happened early Saturday morning in Chicago, where Quintonio Legrier was raging at 4:25 in the morning. It is unclear if he was off his anti-crazy pills, but when he charged cops waving a bat, he got himself perforated seven times with hollow-point slugs. He was DRT – dead right there.
Sadly, in the hail of gunfire, a second person was also killed, possibly (probably?) accidentally.
Of course, Quintonio Legrier’s family is enraged, probably hoping they’ll win the ghetto lottery and also get $5 million from the city of Chicago taxpayers.
(FoxNews) – A Chicago police officer shot and killed two people early Saturday while responding to a domestic disturbance call on the city’s West Side, police said.
Quintonio Legrier, a 19-year-old college student, was pronounced dead at a hospital at 4:51 a.m. and Bettie Jones, a 55-year-old mother of five who was Legrier’s neighbor, died at a different hospital at 5:14 a.m. Both were black, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Autopsies have not been scheduled, medical examiner’s office spokeswoman Becky Schlikerman said.
Police did not disclose the race of the officer, how long the officer has been with the department or the officer’s current work status. The shootings happened around 4:25 a.m. after officers who responded to the call “were confronted by a combative subject,” the Chicago Police Department said in a statement.
Legrier’s mother, Janet Cooksey, told the Chicago Tribune that her son was studying engineering at Northern Illinois University. She said he graduated from Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy in Chicagoand “was going somewhere.”

Legrier’s mother, Janet Cooksey, who was not present at the time of the shooting, told the Chicago Tribune that her son had been dealing with mental issues, but said police didn’t have to react the way they did.
“We’re thinking the police are going to service us, take him to the hospital. They took his life,” she said.
She said her son “didn’t have a gun. He had a bat.”

I guess the cop should have used a harpoon to stop him.
Quintonio didn’t get a visit from Santa because he was “being combative” so mammy called the cops hoping he would “get help”, and Quintonio tried attacking the responding officers with a bat hoping they would give him a Christmas present. OOPSIE, maybe ol’ Quintonio wasn’t raised to respect law enforcement officers that carry firearms.
What isn’t very clear is why the neighbor was in the “line of fire” at 4:25am. unless she was involved in the “domestic disturbance” along with Quintonio.
The article states, “Both were black according to the medical examiner’s office” (It took the medical examiner to determine this?)It goes on to stress that the police dept did not disclose the race of the officer. The media just keeps playing the race game.
No doubt ken will find some reason to blame the officer.

One of the community leaders sounded like he was calling for “war” with the city.
I hope that you good people understand that the police are being given a green light to do what ever they want for a coming police state. The message to the police from the system is clear, do what you like , we have your back. The USA is on the verge of a collapse that will make the great depression look like a party. Your money in the bank is an unsecured asset of the bank and can be taken in a Bank-bail-in by the government. The coming police state is setting the stage for the police to kill at will when people protest the theft of their money and their liberty. Pray to GOD that the coming police state doesn’t come to your door and take a member of your family. All life is precious before GOD! So don’t be so eager to dance when you hear someone has died, even if its a bad guy!
I don’t know about Ken and Bill1, but I still look upon my local cops as good guys. Just like I look upon my fellow GSL members as good guys.
The female half of this is a tragedy. Ultimately, the blame for her death should be squarely on the shoulders of Mr. Baseball Bat. If he hadn’t been acting like an asshole, nobody would have gotten shot.

I don’t know about guys like Sam and the others that seem to be blind to the coming collapse and the coming police state that is happening all around them.
I still look at police through the same eyes as my father, a police officer taught me to use. I still have the idea’s about life that my father and other officers in my family encouraged my to have. Just because an officer has to take a life isn’t reason to brag or boast. I was also warned about the manipulation of person by playing an association game by using words like “Good Guys” in an attempt to disassociate themselves. But I guess i shouldn’t be to hard after all this is Illinois and we’ve had a problem with a lack of understand of Liberty for a very long time.
