LEGISLATIVE ALERT – GENEVA ILLINOIS

Police Chief Steve Mexin is proposing the most restrictive air gun ordinances in the state of Illinois. If passed, it would be illegal to practice marksmanship using an air gun or BB gun in your own home. We are asking all firearm owners and freedom loving citizens to oppose this over-reaching ordinance.

The next meeting will be held at the Geneva City Hall at 7:00 pm on Monday, November 2nd. Please plan to arrive between 6:30 – 6:45pm. Use the south entrance. Kurt Koenig has agreed to lead in this effort. You may call him at (630) 945-0994. Geneva City Hall is located at 22 South First Street in Geneva.
Please plan to attend.

  1. Are they plagued with problems of bbs coming through walls and hurting people? I live in a town where it is illegal to shot one outside and yet I still need to call the insurance company about a new windshield for my camper.

  2. I thought towns are pre-empted from imposing any new ordinances. Or is it because they are not firearms it doesn’t apply?

So if you are doing it inside your home, who the heck is going to know?
