A 58-year-old social misfit went on a killing spree last night, attacking people at random inside a showing of the new movie “The Trainwreck” in Lafayette, LA.
The theater has a “NO GUNS” policy, even for card-carrying good guys. It made those law-abiding innocents sitting in that theater sitting ducks for the madman.
When are those opposed to gun rights going to realize that gun-free zones attract predatory violence by people who don’t care about the law to begin with?
Those who are ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
Sadly, its our families who are stuck being the backstop because of anti-gun individuals’ and companies’ steadfast refusal to allow card-carrying good guys to carry everywhere.
Your “theatre” sucks.
If it were my family, I think I’d sue them for failure to provide proper security to ensure the safety of their customers.
In my mind, if they are going to ban law-abiding good guys from carrying in their locations, then that would suggest they are providing extra security.

I carry mine everywhere. Post office, school, hospital, everywhere. You never know its there. I almost never go to the movies because by their structure, they are killing zones. And I carry there too.

Gun free zones work for criminals, terrorists and lunatics.
It’s time to ban movie theaters . we can’t control the criminals so we must eliminate the tools they use, movie theaters .if it saves one life .
If this criminal hadn’t offed himself, we would have had to prosecute him for criminal trespass. That’ll show him that you can’t just carry your gun into a theater and shoot people!
In fact, an anti-gun prosecutor could have bargained away the murder and attempted murder convictions, just to be sure of getting him on that criminal trespass. I mean, the theater clearly stated in its conduct policy that “you will be arrested and prosecuted” for criminal trespass if you violate their “no guns” policy.
