Today Rush Limbaugh read a story released within the past hour by Paul Bedard at the Washington Examiner laying the blame on the ATF’s proposed ban on M-855 and similar AR-15 ammunition at Obama’s feet.
Yes, it’s through Obama’s long-standing promise to enact unpopular and unwanted gun control that America’s face the lost of one of the most affordable sources of practice ammo for America’s favorite rifle, the AR-15.
In reality, Obama’s action makes the nation less safe as the bullets used in the M855 loads are particularly ineffective at killing people as it merely punches ice-pick like holes in bad guys. Bad guys usually use the cheapest, most plentiful ammunition when they commit crimes with guns. By banning this affordable ammo, Obama’s action will mean that gun owners will purchase more deadly loadings that yaw, fragment, expand and generally do a lot of unpleasant things in human tissue that the M855 bullets don’t.
