More bad news for gun grabbers!

A federal court judge earlier today ruled Chicago’s ban on gun sales in that city is unconstitutional.

Oh, darn.

That means another six-figure check from the City of Chicago to another law firm!

Oh, double darn!

(Buzzfeed) – Chicago’s strictest-in-the-nation law banning gun sales within the city is unconstitutional, a federal judge ruled Monday, saying the ban went “too far.”

The judge delayed the effect of the ruling to give the city time to file a response to the decision, Bloomberg reported.

“Chicago’s ordinance goes too far in outright banning legal buyers and legal dealers from engaging in lawful acquisitions and lawful sales of firearms,” U.S. District Court Judge Edmond E. Chang wrote in a 35-page opinion.

The ordinance, passed in 2010 by the city council, has banned gun shops in Chicago and also prohibits gun owners from stepping outside their homes with a handgun — even into their garages or onto their porches.

  1. And the taxpayers take another hit in their pocketbooks, it is shameful that the politicians are not the ones to pay the price of their unconstitutional laws and ordinances.

  2. This is grest news. How many people know that before the FOID card and the 68GCA there were 200 gun shops in the city, many selling guns through the mail without background checks or 4473 forms.

Now if we can just get people to realize the FOID needs to go maybe we can get back to the way it was back in early 1960’s
