So, last night as I’m just about finished grilling a steak and potatoes for dinner, I get a call from a snarky gentleman who took time out from his Independence Day to call me and show his ass.
Here’s the email I sent to GSL’s Board last night.
A white male in his early 30s, give or take a decade, called me tonight at 8:19pm from 314-620-4880 and bragged that he fired shots at one or more of our sign sets at an undisclosed location.
He said it would be better if our signs were oval instead of rectangular in terms of their utility as targets “as we put up these stupid signs all around”.
I thanked him for his self-report and noted that it is a felony to criminally damage our signs. Upon conviction, he won’t have to worry about owning guns to shoot our signs.
A little sleuthing finds his name is Tony Burns from Kirkwood, MO.
A quick search finds that he is known as “ripitupinc” on MidSouthMX.com forum.

One of my fellow board members inquired if this might be our Tony Burns:
What did this particular Tony Burns do?
He sexually molested a 14-year-old girl.
When he was 41-years-old.
The offense was committed in Kentucky and “ripitupinc” posts that he likes St. Louis and Kentucky.
Coincidence?
Doubtful.
So, it would seem we have a registered sex offender bragging that he’s shooting our signs. Sounds like it’s time to call or email the Fenton, MO police and have them sniff around.
