The mayhem continues in Chicago, Illinois’ gun control capital, as dozens have fallen victim to the seemingly random and senseless violence.

Chicago’s strict gun control does nothing but embolden the criminals, as evidenced by the less than tranquil nature of the city.

How bad is it?  You can’t even drive on the Dan Ryan expressway without risking your life…

(Tribune) – A man died and a woman survived a gunshot wound to the chest on the Dan Ryan Expressway early Sunday morning near 71st Street, according to authorities.

The shooting happened between 1 and 1:10 a.m. on the “slip” ramp between 71st Street and 75th Street on the southbound side of the Dan Ryan Expressway.

A third person in the car, a man, survived. Police could be seen talking to a man outside a damaged dark-blue car stopped on the ramp early Sunday morning.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the dead man as 27-year-old Fredrick Taylor, of the 14000 block of Atlantic Avenue in Riverdale. He was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center at 3:14 a.m.

State police shut down all southbound lanes to search the stretch between Garfield as ten troopers fanned out and scoured the pavement for evidence.

Just another Friday night in Chicago:

(Tribune) – A man was shot multiple times in the Sheridan Park neighborhood last night and left in critical condition, one of at least 13 people shot across the city Friday and early Saturday morning, officials said.
