That’s right.

Every man, woman and child.  $2068.  Plus interest.

That’s the price of the new school they plan on building after razing the existing Sandy Hook grade school where a crazed, evil misfit killed a bunch of kids and then thankfully offed himself in December 2012.

$57 million projected cost of new school divided by the population of Newtown, CT (27,560).

That’s the power of emotions over reason and logic.

  1. ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?????????????

WHO HAS MONEY LIKE THIS TO THROW AROUND????????

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! SOME KIDDIES WERE KILLED HERE SO WE HAVE TO SPEND A HUNDRED MILLION BUCKS BUILDING A NEW ONE (AMORTIZED COSTS AFTER UNION LABOR OVERRUNS AND UNDERESTIMATES)!!!!!!

    ABSOLUTE INSANITY!!

PLEASE DON’T CRITICIZE MY ALL-CAPS—–THEY ARE INTENDED!!! I’M SHOUTING AT THE TOP OF MY FREAKING LUNGS!!!!

  2. But there is no money to pay for armed security guards……
    The sequeeessstttttteeetrrrrrr……….

    1. yep.. but then they’ll go on a multi-million dollar vacation to Europe or Australia at our expense.

  3. It’s their community. As long as they are willing to bear the responsibility for their choices, they should be free to do what they want.

    1. they won’t pay it all.. there’ll be some state and federal money that will come in at some point so instead of costing $2068 per person in Newtown, it’ll cost $20 per taxpayer across the country. (factoring in that only half of the country actually pays taxes and the usual inflation for government waste in the process).

Personally, I would think a remodel and renaming would be sufficient, and much more cost-effective.

    1. Wrong state, sir.

But Obama’s IRS people are telling me you are getting assessed a range proximity tax of $100 for each visit to that certain range right around the corner from your house.

They tell me it’s not fair most of us have to drive 30-60 minutes to go shoot and you can walk to a nice range.

Make your check out to Organizing upon America.

    2. IRS? Even more interesting is the squirming being done by journalists today as their right to free press is being ignored as much as they have our right to keep and bear ignored. Watching them hammer Carney today was funny. Watching him play the
balancing” card on them was funny too. NOT ONE OF THEM caught the irony, the dripping irony, of their complaints or their vocalization of their fears about the corruption of that AP – DOJ story. Carney’s lines were just like a journalist touting gun control. Exceptions to the RIGHTS…

As journalists and editors cry foul about that scandal it would be wise to collect them up and tell them we are happy they are finally joining the club – cuz that is what WE have been saying all along!
