The pressure was getting to high for the anti-gun newspaper which posted the names of gun owners in two or three counties in New York State.  Facing threats of crushing lawsuits as well as incensed gun owners, the Journal-News publishers pulled the list a few hours ago.

The Journal News has removed the names and addresses of area gun-permit owners from its website, citing New York state’s new gun law.

“With the passage this week of the NYSAFE gun law, which allows permit holders to request their names and addresses be removed from the public record, we decided to remove the gun permit data from lohud.com at 5 pm today,” Janet Hasson, Publisher of the Journal News, said in a statement today, forwarded to POLITICO by Ed Tagliaferri, the executive vice president of DKC Media.

They cited the new law that was passed, but that’s fecal matter.

The fecal matter, of course, was sent to one of the bigshots at the paper earlier this week.

  1. Does this mean no more collection from Porter and Blondi? And I already had the box ready…

I wonder how long it will take then to pull their own armed guards…

  2. I wonder how many advertisers and subscribers they lost over this bull shit. You know that it hit them in the wallet, I hope and pray that it was severe.
