MURDER CITY, USA: Impotent Chicago Mayor Retreats When Kid Tells Her to ‘Go Home’ [VIDEO]

While Illinois citizens remain subject to a state-wide lockdown, someone forgot to tell the bad guys. Consistent with past practice, with warmer weather, the Chicago’s violence increased over the weekend. The bad guys racked up five murders and 44 others maimed in Murder City, USA.

Meanwhile, tough-talking Mayor Lori Lightfoot turned tail and ran when confronted by a young man who suggested she practice her own advice and “go home.”

Clearly, the criminals in Chicago have chosen to ignore the governor’s stay-home decree.

Meanwhile, Mayor Lightfoot sounded pretty tough Sunday at a press conference in the Harrison police district, right in the middle of some of Chicago’s most violent neighborhoods.

She warned citizens who failed to comply with the stay-home order, “We will shut you down. We will cite you and if we need to, we will arrest you and we will take you to jail. Period.”

Whooping it up during the pandemic isn’t just a party foul.

It could get you arrested, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and the city’s new Police Superintendent David Brown warned on Saturday – a balmy, partially sunny day with a high hitting the mid-70s.

“We will shut you down. We will cite you and if we need to, we will arrest you and we will take you to jail. Period,” Lightfoot said. “Don’t make us treat you like a criminal, but if you act like a criminal and you violate the law and you refuse to do what is necessary to save lives in this city during a pandemic we will take you to jail, period.”

Don’t be stupid, she said, “we are watching.”

So the Mayor is threatening to jail party-goers while the Governor is emptying the prisons of violent offenders. She tried to intimidate citizens while ignoring violent predatory criminals.

Instead of discussing strategies for dealing with they city’s orgy of violence, she’s repeated impotent threats against the productive citizens. Heaven forbid someone’s grandma fails to practice proper social distancing when gang members open fire in the nation’s largest open-air shooting range.

Plenty of folks noted the hypocrisy as the mayor threatens to lock-up joggers while the governor releases almost 4000 felons. Not to mention that Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart has released hundreds, if not thousands of county jail inmates, many who have been charged with serious, violent felonies.

Meanwhile, a few minutes after the press conference, Mayor Lightfoot walked a short distance away where young people gathered on a school playground while wearing masks. Some even wore gloves.  Obviously, these young people tried to act responsibly with their friends. The finger-wagging Lightfoot, surrounded by at least a dozen cops plus multiple bodyguards, told the kids to go home.

One moppet told her to go find a cure and told her to “go home.” At that point, Lightfoot kept on walking…  away from the group of young people acting responsibly.

After a news conference decrying house parties and telling people to stay home, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot crossed the street to tell youth outside a school to go home.

It’s just another example of how Chicago’s leaders are all hat and no cattle when it comes to fighting real crime. They would rather intimidate law-abiding citizens than sanction gang members and violent criminals.
