A 14-year-old girl walking to school in an average neighborhood in Chicago is abducted by six male savages in a car, taken somewhere and gang raped.

Does this sound like a city you would want to visit to spend time for vacation or business, much less a place you would like to live?

It sure doesn’t for us.

Police Issue Community Alert After Girl Abducted, Raped On Way To School

CHICAGO (CBS) – Police have issued a warning about a serious and disturbing attack on a child in the North Lawndale neighborhood.

CBS 2’s Brad Edwards reports, around 7:45 a.m. Monday, a 14-year-old girl was walking to school when a group of six men grabbed her off the street, forced her into a car, then drove her to a house, where they raped her.

The girl was abducted near 16th Street and Trumbull Avenue, according to police.

A description of the suspects appears later in the story:

The suspects were all described as African-American men between 20 and 24 years old, between 5-foot-6 and 6-foot-3, and and 130 to 170 pounds.

Five of the suspects had long dreadlocks; one had brown tips, another had red tips. The sixth offender had a close fade haircut.

  1. Is that the photo of the girl who was raped? I thought photos of sex crime victims were never published. BTW, 16th and Trumbull area in Chicago is NOT an average neighborhood.

    1. No thats not the girl who was raped and yeah this is the first time someone has ever targeted 16th and trumbull i wouldn’t be surprised if i know one of the dudes because i stay over there

  2. No, of course it’s not the same girl. Photo is from Ford Models, my fallback after googling “teen school girl” at google images gets precious few teen girls who aren’t wearing much more than a smile.

Another story said it was a working class neighborhood. I took that to mean “average”. If it’s not, my mistake.
