Illinois State Representative Chris Miller and Guns Save Life’s Executive Director will appear at a “Protect Illinois Communities Act” Town Hall Meeting on Monday evening, November 27th.  The even till take place at the Newman, IL Regional Library (207 S. Coffin St, Suite D, Newman).

The event will be sort of an alternative to the disastrous ISP committee hearings held about two weeks ago, ostensibly to answer questions and eliminate vagueness when it comes to our state’s new gun, ammunition and accessories registry.

Chris Miller will offer the perspective from the legislature.  John Boch will share the perspective as the executive director of the state’s largest and most active grassroots gun rights organization and one of the plaintiffs in lawsuits challenging the PICA Act as well as another suit challenging the FOID Act as well.

As I understand it, aside from some opening remarks, it’s largely going to be a Q&A event.  So bring your questions and we’ll answer them as best as we understand things.

From the East Central Reporter:

In a bid to champion the preservation of Second Amendment rights, renowned firearms expert John Boch and State Rep. Chris Miller (R-Oakland) will join forces at the Guns Saves Life event on Monday, Nov. 27. The event is scheduled to take place at the Newman Regional Library, located at 207 S Coffin St, Suite D, Newman, IL; the event kicks off at 7:00 p.m.

“This Event is Going To Be a Good One!” Miller said on Facebook.

“Join John Boch from Guns Save Life and me on November 27th to discuss the unconstitutional gun ban in Illinois and what legislators are doing to protect our Second Amendment Rights.”

The event promises an insightful discussion on the importance of defending the constitutional right to bear arms. Attendees can expect an engaging discourse on the ongoing efforts to safeguard citizens’ rights to own firearms and the implications for personal safety. A Q and A session is part of the event according to the announcement.

The event comes as the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to hear a challenge of Illinois’ controversial gun ban, the Protecting Illinois Communities Act, which outlawed over 700 types of commonly owned firearms.

State Rep. Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville) has voiced concerns about the gun ban and potential resistance from gun owners in the state. He noted in a recent hearing that “hundreds of thousands of people absolutely will not comply” with a registry of those firearms as a federal appeal is being considered, according to Chambana Sun.

Miller is a member of The Illinois Freedom Caucus along with State Representatives Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich), Jed Davis (R-Newark), Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville), Blaine Wilhour (R-Beecher City), David Friess (R-Red Bud), and Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur) according to the group’s website.

  1. Instead of complaining about democrats WHY NOT confront these republican religious right control freaks and tell them to leave the party because every time they open their mouths they push more and more people to the democrats and thus give us more gun control. The religious obsession with abortion and (marriage is a man and woman) or the latest trans obsession is a burden on western civilization.
RELIGIOUS RIGHT = GUN CONTROL, COMMUNISM, COVID, STOLEN ELECTIONS

    1. Why is it that you think your self perceived right to murder a baby must be shoved down everyone else’s throat with the same fervor you use to drive “transgenderism” ? God does not want man and woman (see that only two sexes) to murder the unborn or the new born. If you don’t believe me read a Bible. There is no such thing as transforming your gender, it is possible to disguise your gender but why do that? Why try to fool someone like you are fooling yourself? That is an obsession when you present yourself as something your not. I can’t respect someone who does that. I would much rather stand with the RELIGIOUS RIGHT = FREEDOM

  2. I will not tolerate infidels. My beliefs are YOUR law. This is a my way or the highway situation and you’d better accept that. I will not accept the analysis of rational thinking people when they try to overcome my zealotry. I am a soldier for GOD and will determine what you think, whom you marry, what you can see online and I will subject women into forced birthing like it or not. When most people do not accept my Christian conditions injected into them by the hand of GOD through me I will blame everyone but myself for the increase of Democrat voters.
I AM THE MINISTRY OF TRUTH
