Gun rights leaders in California expect a complete semi-auto rifle ban next year. Sam Paredes of Gun Owners of California told Breitbart News, "be ready for an all-out ban on semi-automatic long guns". Apparently nobody told California's politicians that support for banning America's favorite rifle, the AR-15, and other modern sporting rifles is at an all-time low.
Paredes also suggested that California residents might also face gun rationing legislation as well. These proposals, of course, will only apply to law-abiding Californians. Criminals? Criminals ignore laws. They don't care about laws against violent crimes, so why should they care about another meaningless gun law?
In a recent conversation with Breitbart News, Gun Owners of California’s (GOC) Sam Paredes told us to be ready for an all-out ban on semi-automatic long guns in California’s coming legislative session.
Paredes is the executive director of GOC, and he suggested the “assault weapons” ban and the “bullet button” ban have both been part of an incremental move toward banning all semi-automatic rifles, whether “assault” style or not.
All of this is just a small price to pay for the crime-free paradise that is California, right?

If it goes there, can Illinois be far behind?
I guess the only good thing in Illinois is we don't have the same kind of ballot iniatiative you have in states like Nevada, Maine, California and a host of other states……the only type of ballot iniatiative is one to make or change an amendment to the Illinois constitution such as the one we voted on last month on the subject of road fund monies being protected from being robbed by other 'special interest groups' …..the 'Gabby Giffords group' failed attempt to ramrod a bill through the Illinois house last summer is an example of the checks and balances of state wide representation as opposed to a show of hands in vastly liberally controlled 'Madiganistan'.
