ANXIETY ON LEFT: Gun grabbers’ own research shows gun control is political suicide

Seven isn’t a good number when it comes to turnout for a demonstration “in front of” the US Capital. In fact, it’s downright pathetic. Despite spending scores of millions of billionaire money and a sympathetic media, gun control advocates have battled increasingly positive public views of gun rights and gun ownership for over a generation now.

Now, gun control strategists are noticing what they see as a growing and alarming trend in public opinion: Young people look very favorably upon gun rights just as they do gay rights – for many of the same reasons.

That’s got the gun grabbers wetting their beds more so than usual, as these younger Americans may not currently be gun owners, but they support the right of others to own guns. What’s more, they will be around for a long time to impart their (pro-gun) beliefs upon not only their peers, but their kids and parents as well. In other words, the trend for increasing acceptance of gun rights will likely continue to grow only stronger.

Gun control has become so unpopular and disliked, especially by demographics dominated by Democrats in the past that Democrats are urging their candidates to “retool” their message away from gun control in general and attacking the NRA in particular. They understand how the National Rifle Association is seen favorably by the significant majority of Americans, and they know how attacking things as American as apple pie and baseball isn’t going to win votes from anyone except the lunatic fringe.

In fact, one study – funded by gun control money – is telling Democrats to not only stop attacking the NRA but to sound MORE like the NRA!

Dems urged to retool their guns message

(Politico) – Democrats itching to slug it out with the National Rifle Association this fall need to stop attacking the gun-rights group and start sounding a little more like it, particularly when it comes to respecting freedom and safety, according to new message testing from a group founded to enact tighter gun laws.

The Politico story goes on to, in detail, suggest how gun control supporters should hide their true beliefs and sound a lot more “moderate” on gun control issues. In other words, how they (including Hillary) should stop the war on gun rights if they want to get elected.

…And while Hillary Clinton promised to “keep taking on the NRA” in October, she should maybe stop, according to ARS’ findings, and instead take on the “gun lobby.”

Americans aren’t stupid.
