So, by now we’ve all seen the horrific Muslim terror attack that took place early Sunday morning.

A Muslim terrorist carried out his planned attack on a nightclub in Orlando, first calling 9-1-1 to announce his attack and his allegiance to the ISIS terror organization.  He then goes inside and begins the slaughter.

Fifty people were killed, and about that many more were injured or wounded.  Cops finally stormed the place after the SWAT team arrived, and in the meantime, the murderous Muslim hunted patrons, killing them.

Another gun-free zone massacre

Florida has a strong gun community, but under Florida law, good guys couldn’t carry their guns inside bars – even if they came perfectly sober and choose not to drink.  Is it time for Florida and other states to pass a “Designated Carrier” law to allow sober card-carrying good guys to carry in bars?  We have designated drivers and they are lauded.  Why not designated carriers, too?  Because, after all, armed Americans don’t get slaughtered.

Political spin away from Muslim Terror

The left was lightning quick in their attempt to spin the worst Muslim terror attack on American soil since 9/11 as a homophobic hate crime and/or a “mass shooting”.  Few headlines reported it as a Muslim terror attack.

The scene took place at a trendy bar that served a predominantly gay clientele.  The terrorist’s father claimed the attack had nothing to do with Islam and everything to do with his son seeing two gay men making out in public somewhere.  Few aside from the left took dad at his word, and since then, a video has surfaced of him saying his son was a very good boy and that God punishes gays.

The local political types trotted out a Muslim religious leader to prattle on how the attack had nothing to do with Islam and how Islam is a Religion of Peace even before making the name and picture of the Muslim terrorist public, treating Americans as children, not adults.  Peace-loving Americans didn’t froth at the mouth and launch their own jihad against their peaceable Muslim neighbors in response to the September 11th attacks fifteen years ago and we aren’t going to do it after this guy kills 50 today.

Many thought President Barack Hussein Obama would finally say the words “radical Islam” in describing this attack.  Far from it.  He blamed America’s freedoms for the attack.  “This massacre is therefore a further reminder of how easy it is for someone to get their hands on a weapon that lets them shoot people in a school, or in a house of worship, or a movie theater, or in a nightclub.”

Obama also said that “we” as Americans need to have the strength and courage to change our attitudes towards the gay community.  How pathetic.

Mr. President, this massacre is a further reminder of how easy is for lunatics to slaughter people in gun-free zones.

Mr. President, this massacre is a reminder of how gun free zones are a complete failure.  Mr. President, this massacre is a reminder of your failed immigration policies.  Mr. President, this massacre is a reminder of your failure as our leader.

The continued threat

The FBI was watching the Muslim terrorist for years before this event.  The FBI and other agencies are monitoring thousands more, but under rules enacted under the Obama regime, these investigations must be done in the “least intrusive” manner possible.  In other words, the Obama administration has done its best to limit the investigative powers of law enforcement when it comes to Islamic terror.  Heck, the Obama administration won’t even say the words “radical Islam”.

We’ve long said that Muslim terror attacks would return to American soil.  Some think fifty dead is horrific, but that’s child’s play to these evil people.  They would love nothing more than to kill fifty thousand (or fifty million if they could).

Islam has a long history of warfare against civilization.  They won’t quit in our lifetimes, but we can manage the risk as best we can and not let terrorism cause us to live our lives cowering in fear.

Be prudent.  Be prepared.

Use good, common sense about living life.  Maintain situational awareness in your personal life.

Be prepared.  Remember, just like Armed gays don’t get bashed, armed Americans don’t get slaughtered.

Consider gun ownership for yourself and your family members.  If you get a firearm, get training.  Good training.  Training that can save your life is no place to cut corners or pinch pennies.  Don’t take training from just anyone either.  Look for experienced professionals with a good reputation.

Get your carry license and when you have it, carry your gun every single day.

If you want to carry a small pocket pistol, fine.  Carry it as a backup to something more substantial.

Don’t be afraid.  Be prepared.  Be prudent.
