It couldn’t happen to a nicer (or not so nice) city.

Philadelphia is hosting this summer’s Democrat National Committee Convention and in preparation for the event, the Democrat controlled city government has taken it upon itself to decriminalize pre-riot behaviors.

What are pre-riot behaviors?

Offenses like disorderly conduct, blocking a street and failing to heed a request to disperse.  Even better?  The city has already decriminalized possession of marijuana for personal use, so the rioters can smoke dope too.

What’s that mean?

“Let the good times roll!” – at least from the perspective of those inclined to riot.  It guarantees that Philly ’16 will see more crazy disorder than Chicago ’68.  Why?  Police today are under intense scrutiny from this regime in Washington and local politicians.

Translation:  In Chicago back in 1968, police made arrests and administered “hickory shampoo” (in the form of nightsticks to the heads of hard-headed hooligans).  Today, police in Philly can only say (with or without a lisp) “STOP!  Or we’ll ask you to stop again and then maybe issue you a $100 citation if we catch you.”

It also means that any business near the DNC convention should board up its windows and make sure their insurance is up to date.

It means that local residents should take extra precautions as well, especially if traveling anywhere near the DNC event.

I guarantee there will be widespread violence this year at the DNC event.

The city has just given hooligans, thugs and criminals the green light to riot to their heart’s content.

PS:  Know anyone you don’t like?  Encourage them to attend the DNC convention or just visit Philly during the event.

For the rest of us, it won’t be the safest time to visit Philly.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — …Less than two months before the Democratic National Convention comes to town, a City Council committee has passed legislation letting police issue $100 civil fines rather than make criminal arrests for many nuisance crimes.

The offenses include disorderly conduct, blocking a street and failing to heed a request to disperse.

Police say it’s mainly an effort to realign penalties for minor offenses in the wake of the city’s decriminalization of possessing small amounts of marijuana.

  1. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch of fools, except for the cops having to deal with it.

Kind of looking forward to it.

  2. Yeah, the cops will have orders to tie their own hands to avoid making the place look like the police might actually use force to restore order. The only thing missing is a Mayor announcing that he’s going to give the rioters room” to destroy the city.

I’ll be sure to get more of Beck’s microwave popcorn before the DNC convention, July 25, 2016 – July 28, 2016. Damn shame we have to wait seven weeks.

Got to give the miscreant thugs time to get ready, of course.

  3. Meanwhile in Cleveland anyone even looking like a conservative will have both legs broke, there car impounded and their wife locked up for prostitution.

  4. Cleveland? Who picked Cleveland for a convention city for Republicans?

We’ll see if the Cleveland Police chief looks the other way, like the La Raza San Jose Police chief.
