Chicago Police Stops Down By 90 Percent As Gun Violence Skyrockets
CHICAGO (DNA Info) — Police stops in Chicago are down nearly 90 percent as the Chicago Police Department continues to struggle with bad morale and incessant violence.From the start of the year to last week, police made only 20,908 recorded investigative stops, said Anthony Guglielmi, a Chicago Police Department spokesman. Over the same period last year, there were 157,346 recorded stops.
…At the same time, shootings across the city are up 80 percent, a DNAinfo Chicago analysis found. In 650 shootings so far this year, 123 people have been killed and 652 wounded. County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez has warned the city is on track to have 700 murders this year.

(Tribune) – As the first quarter of 2016 nears an end, violence in Chicago has reached levels unseen in years, putting the city on course to top 500 homicides for only the second time since 2008.
As of 6 a.m. Wednesday, homicides totaled 135, a 71 percent jump over the 79 killings in the same year-earlier period, official Police Department statistics show. That represented the worst first quarter of a year since 136 homicides in 1999, according to the data.
Shootings have jumped by comparable numbers as well. As of Wednesday, at least 727 people had been shot in Chicago so far this year, a 73 percent rise from 422 a year earlier, according to a Tribune analysis of department data.
That’s even with the “massaging” of the numbers, where cases like the guy who died from getting decapitated with a coal-powered chainsaw (with defensive wounds to the hands) are counted as suicides.
I know this isn’t the medium to post but yesterday a cfd truck company on a well being check found a male who had been decapitated with a electric chainsaw and he has his hands on the blade like he was trying to block it.he was found on his back so it was obvious he was trying to resist, no mention in the news or blogs but OT was an obvious message to be sent
Maybe Chicago Police on TV will have an upcoming episode about this case…

Well, this guy got shot, live on Facebook yesterday.
The Chicago cops have been hamstrung by the ACLU, requiring them to fill out a new two-page form to demonstrate that they are not “targeting minorities” with a disproportionate number of investigative stops. So they are not doing the stops, because they don’t want to get sued by the ACLU.
Brilliant! Since the investigative stops are down 86%, the shootings are up 73%. Now the ACLU can claim victory, as the people are able to kill each other more freely, without police hampering them!
The inmates, or in this case the criminals, are running the asylum. Our wonderful legislature gave us this new law about police contacts needing paperwork, and look what it’s got us: dramatically higher black on black crime. Dumbasses. The Klan is surely applauding this and anything else that facilitates blacks killing one another.
Prior to the passage of the stupid FOID card and the 68GCA there were 200 gun shops in COOK county many in the city of Chicago that sold guns.
The answer to this problem is to restore lost rights, immunities and privileges. Repeal or amend the damn FOID card and 68 GCA and let anyone with peaceful intentions buy a firearm just like you could prior to the passage of the 68 GCA.
Yes this will mean that NON-VIOLENT felons will be owning guns. But there shouldn’t be all the stupid laws on the books in the first place.

We have 93 million working age Americans between the age of 21-53 out of work and at the same time we have 25 million Foreign born workers in the USA. [Its nuts!]
I once told a man that regardless of race creed or color we all need jobs. I know the gang banger class are not out job hunting but how many young men and women could break away from the thug class if they could get a job?

The point is a whole generation of Americans have turned a gangster culture and lost their work ethic. Drugs, violence and death are their future and I believe there is a solution!
Restore the Checks and Balances between the people with peaceful intentions and the bad guys.
That means repealing some gun control laws or at least amending them.
I am old enough to remember when we bought guns through the mail. Between 1930 -1960 you could buy a gun for less than $3.
National Guardsman up to 1968 were given the option a free gun every month if they paid for the shipping and handling. Guns were everywhere yet crime was low.
We need to restore the checks and balances if were ever going to make this country great again.

Yep. Some days I feel that way myself. Then I remind myself of the good people who live in those crime-plagued neighborhoods. And then I remind myself that if they don’t care enough to have the courage to clean up their own neighborhoods of the problem “children”, then why should I?
Just because you’re fortunate enough to not live in the kill zone they’ve created, doesn’t mean everyone else is.
