Governor's office

Guns Save Life hit a couple of home runs on our first day lobbying in the Illinois General Assembly.

We met a number of people in leadership from both parties as well as rank and file members.

It was a better day than we could have dreamed possible.

While we will certainly defer to the NRA’s people in Springfield while communicating freely and openly with them, we’re also going to be more involved bringing our unique resources and talents to bear where they can complement the NRA’s good work in the Illinois General Assembly and in state government.

We also stand ready to assist the Illinois State Rifle Association when asked and ditto for the much smaller Illinois Carry organization and its members – and any other groups in Illinois.

  1. I would like to see Illinios honor out of state permits. Also would like to see less places of off limits.

    1. IF they were to honor out of state permits, it surely wouldn’t apply to one who is an Illinois resident with an out of state permit. Otherwise, very few would be getting the Illinois permit and paying $150 when they could pay far less elsewhere and have it be good here.

  2. Much appreciation for your efforts for sensible laws in Springfield. It often seems like someone left the gate open on the loonie bin with some of the things we hear in the news.

Of course the news only reports what they want us to hear so that we can remain uninformed as to what is REALLY happening. Do you have a plan to bring “Truth to Reporting” ?

Great job John and Eric. Thank You, Thank You.

  3. Thanks for the good work. Please do all that you can to eliminate the carry prohibition on public transportation and do away with the FOID program and waiting periods.

  4. Looks like you might have met the big guy too.

Way to go… and you beat IGOLD by weeks!

  5. Great job. Well done – keep on keepin on. We can all work together doin a little part or big part to promote our purpose sometimes we win one and sometimes we loose one but never ever give up Thanks !!!!

    1. give Cullerton nothing but grief until he “buckles under” to our way of thinking on firearms issues or until he gives up Senate presidency. ABATE drove him out of the house fighting all his crappy helmet bills, chase him out of the senate!
