Rees

by John Boch

Robert Rees, a former Guns Save Life member and radio talk show host at Cities 92.9FM in Bloomington moved to Iowa a little over two years ago.  We were sorry to see him go as he was a quite a fan of Guns Save Life and the Second Amendment.

He appeared at several of our meetings as a main speaker, gave us priceless promotion on Cities 92.9 and even got the radio station to help sponsor a bus for the Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day.

In short, he’s one of our family.

He has announced in recent days that he’s running in a Republican primary challenge against long-time Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley who has been in office for over forty years.

On his campaign’s website, Rees4Senate, we saw the above graphic which looked quite familiar to us at Guns Save Life.

It’s always good to see one of our extended family doing well.  While we can’t endorse candidates for federal regulatory reasons, we do wish Robert Rees the best in his race.  We believe he would make an outstanding U.S. Senator and are proud to call him a friend.

  1. Congratulations Robert.

I heard your show and appreciated your 2A support!

Guns Save Life attracts many of the very best people. Good luck, sir!

  2. WOW!

John this is what I believe needs to happen if we want our message/beliefs upheld in the law; gun owners need to run for office!

John, Is Robert hard core, meaning he is willing to repeal laws and restore lost rights immunities and privileges?

  3. Good luck… Grassley will be very difficult to knock out.
I’m from Iowa originally (I passed out flyers for Grassley’s campaign in ’86).
He’s been very popular, getting 60-70% of the vote in his re-election campaigns, which is impressive for a Republican in a non red state.

That said, he’s now a member of the “been in office too long” gang that controls Congress… it’s time for someone new.

  4. Someone should contact Sarah Palin and get her involved to give him a plug.

I remember seeing him in Pontiac at that meeting. I liked him.

    Congrats.
