deadduck

The billionaire bankroller of gun control, Micheal Bloomberg, failed miserably to buy a couple of state senate seats in Virginia yesterday.  Bloomberg poured two million dollars into a pair of state senate races, swamping voters with tons of ad buys denigrating guns, gun owners and gun rights.  Voters rejected the outside influence and the politics of gun control and (re-)elected their pro-gun opponents.

It was also a hit for Governor Terry McAuliffe, who lobbied hard to overturn the Republican majority in the Virginia Senate.  Voters were turned off by McAuliffe’s anti-gun, hard-left Democrat politics.

It was also a bad night for Gabby Giffords’ gun grabbin’ group:  Americans for Responsible Solutions.  They poured $600,000 into yet another race, and their gun-grabbing Democrat lost his effort to unseat an incumbent by 5 points.

In short, it was a disaster for Big Gun Control.

Analysts are already debating if this stinging defeat for McAuliffe and his anti-gun Democrat friends bodes ill for Hillary Clinton.  McAuliffe has long been a confidant and campaign strategist for the Clintons for decades.  She’s recently been on a crusade – or perhaps a better word might be “jihad” – against gun owners and gun rights of late in her desperate effort to find a message that resonates with Democrats.

Bloomberg, McAuliffe Fail to Win Virginia Senate With Gun-Control Pitch

(Breitbart) – Virginia Republicans look set to hold onto their Senate majority in the Old Dominion, amid aggressive campaigning by Democrat Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

It is a big defeat for McAuliffe, a close ally for Hillary Clinton, and a big defeat for New York billionaire Mike Bloomberg, who donated heavily to Democrats in the hope of winning the Virginia electoral fights on a promise of more gun-control.

Republicans beat back two serious challengers Tuesday, holding onto seats in the suburbs of Richmond and the Hampton Roads area.

In another hotly contested race, Republican Hal Parrish holds a lead over Democrat Jerry McPike. If Parrish holds onto his lead, it would represent a Republican gain, as the two are battling to replace a retiring Democrat.
