Jim Oberweis will be in Champaign at the Memorial Stadium tomorrow morning, meeting people and pressing the flesh.
If you want to meet the pro-gun alternative to anti-gun dick Durbin, then come on out!
Dick Durbin is guy who compared our troops to Nazi and Soviet troops and Pol Pot.
Dick Durbin is a guy who voted to force you to register your semi-auto firearms, to ban further production of America’s favorite rifle, to ban the sale and transfer of semi-automatics and for police confiscation of these guns when the registered owner dies.
Nice guy, huh?
Is it no wonder he’s not campaigning on gun control?
Durbin’s not campaigning on equal pay for women either, especially since he paid a female staffer $14k per year less than a male in the same position. That’s only $7 an hour difference. No big deal, right?
Durbin’s not campaigning on Obamacare either. Just like Obama promised people cheaper health insurance rates and that you can keep your doctor if you like him, we say “You can keep your Senator Durbin if you like him!” Or not.
In fact Durbin’s sole campaign theme seems to be to allow those buried under student loan debt to refinance that debt as though that makes much of a difference in a world where they can’t find a job. It must be pathetic to have served four terms in the U.S. Senate and the best campaign theme he can come up with is refinancing crippling student loan debt… a debt problem he created when he supported making student loan debt untouchable in personal bankruptcy proceedings.
Jim Oberweis, on the other hand, is all about creating jobs, not food stamp recipients.
Jim Oberweis is pro-gun. Durbin wants the cops to round up your guns.
The choice is pretty straightforward.
Meet Oberweis yourself, on Saturday, October 25th at Memorial Stadium. Ask him his positions.
We can’t ask for volunteers, but imagine if you called 217 725-8993 and ask for Liz, we suspect that – in what might be a complete coincidence – that she could help you find the right place and the right people to help make a difference. Hypothetically speaking, of course.
