Gun owners are pushing back in this fabricated “crisis” designed and engineered by Barack Hussein Obama and freedom-grabbing leftists advocating gun control.

The NRA, home to a quarter million new members in less than a month, has published a stinging new ad, referring to Obama as an elitist hypocrite.  We would have been more biting in our use of adjectives to call a spade a spade, but it works for us.

When you see Obama using children as props for his gun control proposals, remember these pictures…

In other news, it would seem someone named Diane Feinstein or someone who was a supporter (or a former supporter) ignored repeated emails about a certain domain name registration expiring.

Whoops.

Well, it’s not “coming soon!”.  It’s here.

And also under the laugh-out-loud category, it would seem that a staff members of the Journal-News are squirming uncomfortably after their personal information was published online.  That sad, Gannett-owned newspaper scurrilously published an online list of gun permit holders in two or three New York counties.

And while you may say, “Eh, no big deal”, at least one of those listen gun owners has had his home burglarized and the intruders went Die-rectly for the safe.  Fortunately, they were unable to defeat the safe.  The fact they went for the guns suggests they used the database published by the Journal-News as a target list.

While a number of suspicious packages have been received by their staff members, one in particular was a stinky mess.  Sometimes donning the bomb suit is a crappy job in more ways than one…

Police say someone mailed fecal matter to the home of an editor for a New York newspaper that has published the names and addresses of handgun owners.

White Plains police Commissioner David Chong says a suspicious package that brought out the Westchester County bomb squad Thursday turned out to contain “non-toxic fecal matter.”

…The package was the fifth potentially harmful parcel sent to the newspaper or its employees since a Dec. 23 article and online map that revealed the names and addresses of pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties.

There’s good news and bad news for the Brady Campaign.

The good news is that *if* you can believe them (and they fudge numbers and issue half-truths pretty regularly), they have brought in $5 million since the Newtown massacre and are going to be able to pay down those loans they had been taking out these last few years to keep themselves afloat.

In 2010, for example, the Brady Campaign was approaching a million dollars in the hole after borrowing money to meet expenses (primarily payroll for a half-dozen or so high paid lobbyist/activists including Sarah Brady).  Gun grabbers in Illinois have been on lean times as well, slashing staff, firing their chief lobbyist and closing offices in Springfield.  More here

According to the story, sort of halfway obscured for those who only read the headlines, was that the Brady Campaign borrowed another quarter million in 2012 to keep their doors open.

(Politico) – The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence has raised about $5 million since late December, a spokeswoman for the group told POLITICO.

The group announced its fundraising haul after the National Rifle Association told POLITICO it increased its membership by 100,000 following the Sandy Hook massacre.

…The $5 million haul is close to double what the group pulled in 2010, according to the most recent tax documents available. That year, their total revenue was $2.8 million. The group’s expenses exceeded total revenue by about $222,000.

By the way, 250,000 new NRA members x $35 = $8,750,000.

And it’s probably a pretty safe bet a bunch of those quarter-million new members are multi-year or life members at $1000 apiece.

Oh, and the folks at Wal-Mart have not suspended ammunition orders, despite what CNS News erringly reported a day or three ago (no link to the story as it disappeared and I’m too lazy to find it on the Way Back machine).

Oh yeah, and the votes *still* aren’t there, or even really close to pass gun control at the national level.

Harry Reid: The Assault Weapons Ban Is Probably Doomed

(Talking Points Memo) – The Democratically-controlled U.S. Senate will not be a free-for-all of new gun regulations following the shooting at Sandy Hook, according to Majority Leader Harry Reid. Instead, Senators will focus on passing legislation that can move through the Republican-controlled House, Reid said.

That could spell doom for an assault weapons ban. Speaking on Nevada Week In Review, a news show on the PBS affiliate in Las Vegas, Reid said there’s no real chance of a new ban passing the House.

The NRA’s president said the same publicly too.

NRA president predicts assault weapons ban won’t pass Congress

(The Hill) – The head of the National Rifle Association (NRA) on Sunday predicted that efforts to pass a ban on assault weapons and restrictions on the same of high-capacity ammunition would likely fail.

NRA President David Keene, in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union with Candy Crowley,” said that “right now” the group had enough support in Congress to prevent such measures.

“I would say that the likelihood is they’re not going to be able to get an assault weapons ban through this Congress,” he said.

Asked about a ban on the sale of high-capacity ammunition, Keene added “ultimately I don’t think they are going to get that either.”

But Keene cautioned that if President Obama uses “all the power of his office and is willing to expend political capital, you don’t want to make predictions, you don’t want to bet your house on the outcome.”

Running that through the universal translator:  You need to get and stay active contacting your elected officials and being proactive to stop the leftist gun-grabbing Democrats.  Because if you don’t, these politicians may think they can squeak this crap through without anyone caring.

This hasn’t stopped leftist Democrats like Florida’s Ben Nelson from dancing in blood for what he believes will be votes in the near term when he’s running for re-election in Florida.

This political hack appeared with Orlando’s gun-grabbing police chief in a farcical dog and pony show yesterday.

Gun-grabber Bill Nelson, left, and Orlando’s police chief (his name isn’t important) hold double-locked rifles, because you just never know when a gun is going to just “up and go off” as some believe they are prone to do.  It’s just a shame they couldn’t insert magazines after double-locking those guns.

We’re not even going to reprint an excerpt from that story as the reporter uses all of the inflammatory, misleading and demagogued terms we’ve come to expect from the leftist media promoting freedom-robbing restrictions to our civil rights.

  1. NOT ONE MORE INCH!

    ● Remember when “Uncle Saddam” used to surround himself with school children and hug them and pat them on the head?

    ● These proposals do Nothing except to ‘Control’ lawful firearms owners

    ● The media is pushing this propaganda, disinformation, fake polls, to the ‘low information voters’

    ● It has been established that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any particular citizen (e.g. Warren vs.District of Columbia).

    ● “This country is clearly under attack, a enemy has circumvented the constitution of the United States and is attempting to control our Gun rights, retirement, medical doctors acting as informants, free speech in business, school and church. Drugging our children in schools with made up mental disorders and treating our Soldiers as criminals or deranged psychopaths, this is all lies they use to control the weak minds of ignorant people.
they believe we are weak and lazy, that we will lay down and give up without a fight and take what they give us. ”

    ● We have a Constitution. We are a Constitutional Republic- we’re not a rogue nation and neither are we a dictatorship. Much blood was spilled in order to preserve our God-given liberties. Some people say that civilians don’t need “assault rifles,” and that by banning them, our Second Amendment is not violated. They are wrong.

    ● Mark Twain was right… “There are lies, damn lies, and then you have statistics”.

    ● “When a long train of abuses and usurpation’s, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776.
