Can you spell “r-o-b-b-e-r-y”?

(GunNews) – Recently, Pennsylvania gun owners came across an interesting entry on the Code of Conduct at the Promenade Shops in Center Valley, PA.  “Any weapons such as guns, knives, swords, laser pointers and any other items that can harm the customer will be confiscated and given to the proper authorities.”  (H/t PaGunBlog)

While the sign carries no legal weight, it has inspired many gun owners to put the mall on the “doesn’t want our money” list.

More troubling though is a report from Scranton, PA of an after-hours club seizing a lawfully-carried sidearm of a patron as he was leaving following an altercation and then refusing to return it until the patron handed over $500 to get it back.  City police there are investigating the incident as a robbery.

  1. And who, pray tell, is going to forcibly remove my legally owned and carried concealed sidearm so that it can be ‘given’ to the authorities?
