gunfreezone

Nobody is coming to save you.  Certainly not on the “gun free” criminal safety zones known as public transit in Illinois.  See, card carrying good guys can’t carry guns for their safety and the safety of those around them in gun free zones in Illinois.  Hence the woman pictured above, stabbed repeatedly as she begged for her life.  Bystanders took out their phones, instead of intervening to save her life.

AT HIGH NOON in a very public place!

You have to fight as though nobody is coming to save you, because in most places, nobody is coming to save you.

Nobody came to save Jessica Hampton, the woman killed at high noon Thursday on a Chicago Transit Authority train, although plenty of people on the car got their phones out and recorded the attack and took pictures of her dead body afterwards.

Welcome to Chicago.

Isn’t that a place you want to take your family to vacation?  Or God forbid, to live?

The suspect, Arthur Jones, is being held without bond.  Finally.

He might even spend five or ten years in Illinois prison for this heinous attack.  See, prison time in Illinois is like dog years in reverse.

Chicago’s criminal violence problem in general and its homicide problem in particular aren’t caused by a too many guns.

In Florida, one in five adults has a concealed carry license and that state has the lowest firearm violent crime rate in history.

Chicago’s criminal violence problem is caused by too many violent predators roaming the streets.

Chicago’s present day orgy of criminal violence caused by not putting bad people like Arthur Jones in prison where they belong – and once they are there, keeping them incarcerated like they do in Florida.

See, in Florida, if you carry a gun, you get ten extra years on your sentence.  There’s no plea bargains, parole, probation or any other touchy-feely slap on the wrist.

Fire that gun and you’re gone a generation – 20 years extra – on top of the sentence for the crime.

Hit someone – kill them or just graze them with that bullet – and you’re gone for 25 to life – on top of the underlying charge.

But in Chicago:

45 prior arrests…  and still roaming the streets

Police sources have told us Arthur Jones had not one prior arrest.  Not five or ten prior arrests.  Arthur Jones had 45 prior arrests, including one from last year for carrying a weapon on a CTA train – in this case a steak knife and he wasn’t enjoying a steak dinner on that train.  Guess what?  The Cook County State’s Attorney’s office didn’t pursue those charges.

And now this woman, a mother of two who was engaged to be married, is now dead.

The video is at LiveLeak, but I’ll save you the trouble:  The picture above is a much higher quality image of the crime scene.

Red Line Stabbing Victim’s Family Found Out Through Gruesome Facebook Video

Chicago, IL (DNA Info) — Jessica Hampton’s family found out she was dead through Facebook.

The 25-year-old from West Englewood was slain on the Red Line near 47th Street Thursday afternoon and within minutes, videos and photos of her lifeless body were viewed hundreds of times on social media.

On Friday morning, Hampton’s family was trying to come to terms with the tragedy on her South Side block.

“For us to go on Facebook and see this,” said her cousin, who asked to remain anonymous. “We go on there and we see our family lying there like that, is wrong, and it’s not cool.”

Early Friday, Facebook had removed the video of Hampton lying in a pool of blood on the train, but the video remained on other websites.

Hampton’s killer was believed to be her boyfriend, and the stabbing was part of an “ongoing domestic dispute,” Deputy Chicago Police Supt. John Escalante said at the scene Thursday.

A man was arrested on the scene, and a weapon was recovered, police said. Relatives said the killer was a bitter ex who was angry that she had moved on.

UPDATE:

More information from another source:

The offender was a Gangster Disciples member (MOB, whatever that means).   43 or 48 arrests (I have a hard time reading the documents sent).  6 convictions, including assault, aggravated assault with a knife, aggravated battery, weapons on CTA, and burglary.  In other words, he was a nice guy who should have been in prison.

  1. The only way to deal with rabid animals like this is to put them down to save more lives. Some lawyer with criminal gang ties will get him a much reduced sentence and he’ll be out and killing again.

  2. We’re stuck with a system that won’t protect you and at the same time strips you of your ability to protect yourself. How long do we stand for this stupidity? What does it take for useful idiots to get a clue?

  3. Just stay OUT OF THE ZOO, people. Chitcago wants that; let Chitcago HAVE that.

We’re safe, insular, indeed, segregated down here.

*N.B., I use “segregated” in its literal sense, not in any imagined, perceived or real racist interpretation.

  4. OH MY GOD! NO ONE CAME TO THIS YOUNG WOMANS AID?

Sounds to me like Chicago has a greater problem than the lack of guns

  5. Welcome to the world of social media. Stupid phones are more important than anything else. The world would likely be a much better place if they were never invented.

  6. We don’t have a gun ownership problem in Chicago. We have a Chicago Democrat Machine problem.

  7. Let’s see: Pull out a phone to record a decent human being getting stabbed to death as she’s pleading for help… or pull out my Shield.

That’s not a hard decision for me. Nor is it a hard decision for the people I associate with.

    1. Except in Chicago you wouldn’t be allowed to carry that ” shield” with you, unless you are willing to break the law. All public transit are gun free zones. If you pull out a gun, you are more likely to get shot by a cop, then hailed a hero for stopping a death. Sad but true. Even brandish that firearm and the liberal sheep in that city will have your head. You’re better off just staying away from that cesspool and let them eat each other alive.

    2. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say Hank’s probably not concerned about a $150 fine if he’s caught carrying in a GFZ and sticks around for a cop to question him and decide to make an “arrest”. Obviously there was no cop to be seen until MINUTES later (I watched the video and it seemed as though it took the first cops upwards of five minutes to arrive). That’s a long way from getting shot by a cop.

Nobody, not even those who have to live in a cesspool like Chicago, deserves to be killed like Jessica Hampton was killed.

    3. I agree that no one in Chicago “deserves” to be shot. I will respectfully disagree with your casual approach and dismissal of carring a gun illegally in a gun free zone. You’re either law abiding or your not. Can’t be both. And as far as getting shot by a cop, maybe in this situation it was not a reality, but if an officer identifies a gun on you, he is well within his SOP to draw on you. And heaven help you if you make one wrong move. I don’t think the media will be as forgiving for your “being shot by a cop” as say the current status quo of their BLM support. A CCW holder who breaks the law and carries illegally will be labeled a criminal. Not that I would agree with that, just saying it isn’t a best practice to break the law. However, at the risk of double talk, I also agree with Hank and think you should carry anyway. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. I get it. I was simply making a point that some people will be 100% law abiding and not take the chance. Remember, the DA’s in Cook County are anti-gun haters and will try to make an example of a CCW carrying where they shouldn’t. Recommendation: don’t get caught. Stay safe brothers and sisters!

    4. Cook co. SA’s office can be as anti gun as they want, but it is still just a $150 fine. And you get your gun back.

As for Alvarez, I can see her skipping charges on some shitbird who has been arrested 40 times to ensure she makes Hank pay that $150 fine.

  8. The death penalty is was too painless and tranquil for most thugs… and then there is Illinois where we won’t even put monsters to sleep.

  9. Well respected instructors have taught me not to go to stupid places with stupid people and do stupid things. Riding a CTA train (a GFZ) qualifies on all counts.
