80,452 NRA members (of the 5+ million members) showed up for the NRA Annual Convention in Louisville this past weekend.  It ranked as the second largest behind a recent Houston meeting where 86,000 showed up.

Moms Demand Action now claims over 3 million members.  We don’t know if they counted those Facebook “Likes” they might have “bought”, but in any event, only “dozens” of those three million showed up to counter the big, bad NRA.

Perhaps it’s like a couple of years ago in Indianapolis where Bloomberg paid to fly in about 120 MDA members and victims of criminal violence to Indy, paying their air fare, lodging, food, etc. and then not even a third of them could show up for an hour to protest.  That’s real dedication there!

Can you spell A-S-T-R-O-T-U-R-F?

  1. IMAGINE: …if Mom’s Demand Attention, ..oops, Action, …were to hold a national convention, I wonder how many paid attention whor3s would show up, and IF the NRA were to decide to “protest” the poor misguided mothers, even just a local chapter of a second amendment civil rights group would easily outnumber the attention whor3s 10 to 1.

  2. My question is: How many in the audience were NRA attendees just coming to see what the other side had going on?

My guess: probably half of them or more. Those in the audience look a lot more like the NRA convention demo my wife and I saw (and shared) than the typical gun grabber “look”.

  3. Oh, I’m not a flag etiquette expert, but isn’t that flag displayed backwards in the slide?

    1. You are correct. The union should be in seen in the upper left.

The only exception to this would be if the flag is hung over a street, in which case the union should be to the north on and east-west street and to the east in a north-south street. Thus the flag would appear “backwards” when travelling west or north. This is obviously not the case here though.

To say nothing of the desecration of the flag displayed in the slide. I’ve seen that image before and if I recall correctly, the reason the stars appear to be black is because they are bullet holes. Each of the stars has been shot out. The anti-gunners seem to think this is a poignant message.

    2. It’s NOT a flag. It’d barely be considered a DEPICTION of a flag. It’s somewhat similar to a flag, so the flag code doesn’t apply.

Same reason they can wear stars and stripes bikinis and such.

It’s NOT a flag, so don’t get your undies all in a bunch about it.

They’re aholes, and that is that.

  4. Desecration of the flag.

    Desecration of our rights.

    Desecration of our lives.

Why are billionaires so frequently would be tyrants.

  5. Moms Demand Action has no substantive support in the real world. It’s all corporate actions.

    3 million members? Puleaze.

If it weren’t for Bloomberg’s annual $50M checks, Moms Demand Sex and Everytown for Gun Grabbers would have gone the same way as the American Hunters and Shooters Association and all the rest of the fictional gun control groups.

I’ll have to say a prayer for Bloomberg tonight. Lung cancer. Brain cancer. Bladder cancer. Pancreatic cancer.
