Interestingly enough, this incident at the Z&S Liquor store was not included.

We love Second City Cop.  They have all sorts of great information from the law-enforcement perspective on current events on the ground in Chicago.

They love us too.  You’ll notice a link to our site on the right side of their page.

This weekend we got a scanned copy of a Detailed Situational Report from Chicago Police sent from a Yahoo account, with the simple message “Have fun with this”.

“For Internal Law Enforcement Summary Briefing Purposes Only” each page said at the bottom.

Over the weekend of January 8-10, 2016, there were three armed robberies where someone was shot, five homicides and 20 incidents of aggravated battery, firearm incidents (someone got shot).  The data looks a lot like what’s reported at HeyJackass.com on a regular basis, and shows homicides over this period were more than twice that of 2015, and shootings just shy of three times that of the same weekend period in 2015.

Welcome to Murder City, USA.

There’s 11 pages of information – including the names and description of victims and detailed summary of each incident.  I don’t want to post a .pdf and inadvertently burn my benefactor, or to unnecessarily disseminate personal information about people victimized.  I will say reading it left my jaw agape.

The most telling things in page after page of victims?

  1. Only two had no criminal history and no gang affiliation.  The first was a 21-year-old Hispanic male driving in the area of Laramie and Deming when he felt a pain in his foot.  He went home and realized he’d been shot.  Cops believe he just happened to be driving through when “Spanish Four-Corner Hustlers” were shooting it out with the “Pachucos”.  Of course, when cops canvassed the neighborhood where the injury occurred, nobody knew anything.  The second was a female present when her girlfriend tried to shoot her own brother in an altercation over a cell phone.  Read on for the Jerry Springer-like narrative from that incident!
  2. Only two of twenty-eight incidents had suspect information listed.  Not arrests, mind you.  Merely suspect information.  The suspects, three total, had 17 arrests between them and only four convictions.
  3. The victims, almost without exception, were all gang affiliated or hanging with people with known gang affiliations.
  4. There was one justifiable use of deadly force listed.
  5. The justifiable use of deadly force we were looking for – the Z&S Liquor store robbery thwarted by a shop owner – was not listed.

Here we go.

On the first page, the first homicide listed.

Darius Brown.

Here’s a news report from the Sun-Times.

Brown

Chicago – A man found shot to death in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood Friday night on the Southwest Side has been identified as 21-year-old Darius C.E. Brown.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 9 p.m. found Brown, who had been shot repeatedly in the head, inside a minivan parked in the 6600 block of South Fairfield, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:35 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 7900 block of South Whipple.

An autopsy found he died of a gunshot wound to the head and his death was ruled a homicide.

Note the tightly cropped picture.  Here’s what police say happened:

Victim tentatively identified as Darius Brown, a MOB GD (Gangster Disciple).  He was found lumped over in the driver’s set of a tan Oldsmobile Silhouette mini van.  Victim was found to have (2) two GSWs (gun shot wounds) to the head.  Two 9mm shell casings were recovered from inside the vehicle.  …Victim is on the SSL with a score of 325 and has five arrests that include Dec 2012 UUW/Agg/Veh finding of not guilty, Warr and Theft.  This incident occurred in an area with a High gang conflict (code redacted) Internal Gangster Disciples.

Two GSWs to the head from inside the van?  Someone knew him and didn’t appreciate something Darius had done, and punched his ticket.

What is the SSL score?  It was later explained to me to think of the SSL score as a percentage probability that an individual will re-offend.

With an SSL score of 325, it was a virtual certainty that Darius wasn’t going to live to a ripe old age, nor was he going to cure cancer or make the world a better place.  This guy was not somebody you want your daughter to date, much less bring home to meet mom and dad.  No, he was destined for a dirt nap.  He would be a sought after player if there was such a thing as “Fantasy Homicide” akin to fantasy football.

The next incident after Darius Brown involved a “Party People” gangster with 13 arrests and no convictions.  His SSL score was 202 and previous arrests include battery, domestic battery, and possession of a controlled substance.

Next up?  Erick Lacey and his girlfriend Charnice.  They were (note verb tense) a sweet couple, both 19-years-old with zero arrests between them.  They weren’t driving Miss Daisy to church, but instead were riding with a Black Pea Stones (did we mention Mr. Lacey had identified himself as a Black Pea Stones member to police in the past?).  An unknown car pulled up behind them and opened fire.  17 .30 caliber shell casings were recovered (.30 caliber?  Were they shooting an M1 Carbine?) .

Mr. Lacey took one to the back of the brain housing group and expired on scene after police and paramedics arrived.

Another Black Pea Stones member, age 17, got shot in the ass.  He gave conflicting information to the cops and told detectives he didn’t want to cooperate or help identify his shooters.  He had a single arrest for Mary Jane.

Another incident happened where a 27-year-old Gangster Disciple with 33 arrests and 11 convictions caught a round in the leg.

Another incident featured five upstanding members of the community.  Between them, they had chalked up fifty-six arrests, with only a dozen convictions.  Two had been shot before, and between them, their average SSL score was 229.  One of them took a fatal GSL to the shoulder, bleeding out on the pavement before paramedics arrived.  Brachial artery bleeds suck.  He won’t get shot again.

Then there’s the girl named Aumtranney (pronounced “Aum trannie?”), an 18-year-old Rhodes scholar just turning her life around.  She was with her boyfriend to buy some marijuana for the weekend when she observed a guy stick a gun into the car and begin shooting.  She took a round in her shoulder.  She’s a member of the Mafia Insane Vice Lords and has an SSL score of 235 herself with two juvy arrests – for robbery and “R/c”, whatever that is.

This goes on and on for five or six more pages.

Here’s a tragic comedy involving an innocent third party:

Offender Daeshnea Montgomery and her brother Anthony were involved in an argument over a cell phone which turned into a physical altercation.  During the ensuring struggle, Daeshnea produced a .380 cal semi-auto pistol, which she fired one time.

Nothing says friendly sibling rivalry quite like pulling a gun on your (one year) older brother and trying to shoot him, right?

daeshnea-montgomery-2016-0110167.pic1

The bullet entered and existed Daeshnea’s left hand then struck Shante in the lower abdomen.  Shante, who is Daeshnea’s girlfriend, was present in the bedroom where the incident occurred but was not involved in the altercation.  Daeshnea then hid the handgun in a closet and left the apartment before returning a short time later.  Daeshnea initially kept her injured hand hidden from responding police officers, but she eventually revealed her injury, admitted discharging the firearm, and directed police to the handgun.  Victim Shante refused to prosecute offender Daeshnea so she was charged with Agg UUW by Felon.  Shante has no known arrests or gang affiliation.  Daeshnea is on the SSL with a score of 189 and has one arrest for battery.

Nothing like trying to shoot your brother, then shooting yourself in the hand and then having the bullet strike your lesbian girlfriend.  How’s that for Jerry Springer fodder?

And a legitimate use of deadly force!

From the 1900 block of Belle Plaine Ave.

The victims & offenders were drinking beer at the listed location.  Offender Ulloa and victim (Anthony) got into a verbal altercation. Ulloa went to bathroom and returned with a gun and began shooting at (Anthony), striking him in the neck.  Victim (Russell) tried to take the gun away from Ulloa, but was shot in the abdomen by Ulloa.  Victim (Russell) then retrieved his own handgun and shot Ulloa, striking him in the chest.  Offender Zea (Ulloa’s girlfriend), seeing Ulloa has been shot, retrieved a knife from the kitchen and stabbed (Russell) in the head several times.  Victim (Russell) and victim (Anthony) ran out of the apartment and collapsed on the rear porch.  Offender Ulloa was pronounced on the scene.  Offender Zea is in custody.  Victim (Russell) has a valid FOID card but no CCL.  2 handguns and a kitchen knife were recovered on scene.  No charges were deemed appropriate at this time by felony review.  Ulloa is on the SSL with a score of 348 & has 13 arrests that include Jl 2015 UUW (Unlawful Use of Weapons) continuance, CTTV (Criminal trespass to vehicle?) and Battery.  He was previously shot on 17 Apr2014.  He is listed in the gang audit as a Latin King.

Helpful tip:  Don’t be hanging out with scumbags drinking beer.

We can all agree that we need to keep guns out of the hands of criminals.

The difference between gun rights advocates and gun grabber advocates in how we accomplish this goal is stark:

We advocate for taking violent criminal predators off the streets and into prisons to help keep society safe, where gun grabbers want to disarm the law-abiding instead of putting bad guys away.  What could possibly go wrong with disarming the good guys while leaving the bad guys to run the streets?

The distinction is clear.

Vote freedom first.

  1. I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts. I wouldn’t go to that shithole town if you begged me. I got family living there that are too immune to the place to move out. I pray for them every day.

  2. Daeshnea? Let me guess.. her momma’s name is Syphillus or some variation.

I see more and more evidence that Chicago’s political leadership is more interested in protecting their votes than the people at large. If the politicians put the violent black criminals in prison for long terms, their mommas, aunts and cousins might be mad and not vote for those Democrats.

It’s the same reason Democrats want anmesty for illegal aliens… it is all about protecting Democrat constituencies.

  3. The liberals will weep and count these all as “child” deaths, as all were 21 or younger. Remember that when Hillary talks about the threat of guns to “innocent children”.

    1. Why stop at 21? Make it 26 like the Dems did with health insurance!

The Klan never did to blacks what they are doing to themselves after a couple of generations of The “Great” Society.

      Are Democrats really the Klan?

  4. I for one am glad there seems to be some common sense in not charging a legitimate self defense shooting.

Funny, I don’t remember the MSM running this story on the front page.

  5. I read this then thought to myself, “Is there a lot of stupid in the water in Chicago?”

Then I realized, there’s just a lot of not-so-bright loyal plantation dwellers who haven’t experienced the empowerment and freedom that firearm ownership provides.

It’s a shame really. They are wandering around in the dark.

C’mon GSL. Let’s educated these people and show them the light! Shine the light of truth on their darkness and lead them towards freedom and independence from criminal tyranny.

Criminal tyranny is exactly what this is.

And Democraps like Rahm, the Cook County Board and the City Council in Chicago are most interested in protecting their fiefdoms than protecting everyday people. Dyspeptic is exactly right.

    Sam

  6. R/C is probably Reckless Conduct.
.30 caliber casings could be from a 7.62, like an AK or an SKS.
I enjoy Chicago. But I know where to go and where not to. Like any city of any size (Omaha, for example), it has its good parts, its sketchy parts, and its no-go zones.
I once wandered into the bad part of Sioux City, Iowa, but I don’t hold it against the Sioux Citians.
