Palastine, Texas (Guns Save Life):  47-year-old James D. Bushey was a good-old boy, according to his brother Jeff, who was “trying to get his life turned around.”  So says KLTV.

Suffice it to say, there’s a reason his wife divorced him.

In short, because he was a bully and a thug.

Wearing a distinctive, easy to spot from a mile away shirt, he stole some beer and who knows what else from a Walmart in Palestine, TX.  It was party time, after all.

Walmart, of course, has a corporate-wide policy of not going hands-on when it comes to shoplifters, and our good-old boy knew that.  He ignored Walmart security’s orders to stop and walked his loot over to a nearby Applebee’s restaurant and hid it there.

Cops showed up (imagine that) and find Jimmy in the bathroom washing his hands.  He’s fits the description to a “T”, including his distinctive t-shirt with the big, bold words “STAY MUDDY”.

They walk him out of the restaurant where he pulls a pistol and gets himself rapidly and promiscuously perforated by the local constabulary.  There’s video of the incident that was released by police.  Turns out the pistol was a BB-gun.

Yeah, he was just trying to get his life turned around alright.

Good riddance.

Video from the Sergeant.

Video from the Officer.  NOTE how she initially drew her TASER in response to the stimulus of seeing the suspect draw his gun.

  1. Stupid is as stupid does.

Have to wonder whey they did not frisk him immediately.

Wondered at first why we haven’t heard about this previously. Then saw that he was white, and that explained it.

  2. Suicide by Cop.
This guy was on a bender and apparently didn’t care if he lived to see tomorrow – hence the (slow) draw of a BB gun on two cops who were obviously on high alert.

  3. Just turning his life around?

By stealing beer and being an all-around asshole?

    America won’t miss that shitbird.

  4. yA just gotta love how your cop buddies shoot someone til he’s on the ground not moving, and then shoot him six or seven more times.

    Now THAT’S serving and protecting.
