A home invasion trio became a duo Sunday shortly after lunchtime in Indianapolis after storming a near northside home.
Outside the home was an SUV with a subtle “Molon Labe” sticker.
Inside the home were a couple of guys. With guns. And the knowledge, skills and attitudes to employ them to repel violent attack.
The trio stormed the house looking for a quick score. Shots were fired on both sides, but in the end, proper technique and skill trumps Hollywood- and music video gun training. Two of bad guys left, most lickety-split, after their compatriot sprang a leak or three and became DRT – or “dead right there”.
Sadly, the other two who escaped have not been collared by police, nor have they shown up at a hospital with gunshot wounds.
The media were on the scene, of course, and the neighbors let it be known they supported the homeowner and to let would-be hoodlums know that Indiana is home to a lot of gun owners who will defend themselves against criminals.
