Shannon

Shannon Renee Watts – aka Shannon Renee Troughton, President and owner of of VoxPop Public Relations, a boutique liberal PR firm – loves gun control.  Of course, getting a big paycheck from sugar daddy Michael Bloomberg will do that to a girl.  Three years ago, she and her husband bought 1145 Timber Lane in Boulder, CO for $2.3M.  Shortly after, they moved from Zionsville, IN (near Indianapolis) to their newly purchased place in Colorado.

Obviously, her work for Michael Bloomberg pays very well.  And she didn't just pull up stakes in Indiana to move to beautiful Boulder just because she liked the mountain view.  She also liked the more progressive political "view" of Boulder residents a whole lot more than the conservative enclave in her former home state of Indiana.

Nobody ever accused Shannan of lacking smarts or big dreams for herself.  She moved to Boulder to run for public office, and no, we don't mean dog catcher.  She could run for Congress, targeting the back-bencher Congresscritter currently representing Boulder.  Or she could run for Colorado Senator Cory Gardner's seat.  Gardner, a Republican, comes up for re-election in 2020.

She claims, according to the Denver Post, that she's not running to replace retiring Congressman Jared Polis.

Gun-control advocate Shannon Watts has decided against running to replace U.S. Rep. Jared Polis in the 2nd Congressional District, saying that she wants to stay focused on her work with her Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America organization instead.

So that means that a run for U.S. Senate is probably in her future.  And ours.

We can hardly wait.
