Our September GSL meeting in Springfield is relocating to the Air Combat Museum. Scheels closes early for Labor Day, so instead of settling for the usual cancellation for the holiday, we’re moving the meeting to the 8th and stepping into living history.
You’ll stand beside two of the greatest fighters of World War II. The P-51D Mustang—the long-range escort that finally let American bombers strike deep into Germany and return. Fast, lethal, and unmatched at altitude, it turned the air war. Right beside it sits the Vought F4U Corsair, the bent-wing beast that dominated the Pacific. With its massive radial engine and devastating firepower, the Corsair became the terror of Japanese pilots and a legend among Marine and Navy aviators.

And these aren’t static relics. The museum houses more than a dozen additional historic aircraft—all of them fully airworthy and still flying, save the ones getting refurbished. From trainers to fighters, these machines aren’t just preserved. They still take to the sky.
Attending a Guns Save Life meeting while surrounded by the very aircraft that helped secure the freedoms we defend today is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Real Second Amendment updates. Unfiltered discussion. Patriots who refuse to surrender.
Be there. Stand among the greats. Don’t miss it. Bring your kids and grandkids to see what history looks like, in person and up close.
